Dear wikipedia, My sincere apologies for spamming. This was my first attempt at a post and I did not realize that I could not do this. I had tried to copy some existing posts that I had seen and in hindsight I can understand why you may consider this as spam as I used the wrong link to the site I was posting about. I typically use the link that routenote had sent me for all posts as they go to the same place (I just copy and paste) but I can see how this isn't generic enough. May I please be unblocked? Hello, for the community band that I play in, for free, I had volunteered to put music online for the band. We stream using routenote as the company that posts for us. We use their free service and we have never sold anything. Routenote has been very good to us over the last few years. We can be found on Spotify if you search for South Windsor Community Band. While watching tv this morning, I had noticed that they were missing from wikipedia. It was really such a random thing as I was searching for other things on google at the time. I assume I can put a post up about the company onto the online music databses page as long as I use the correct generic link: www.routenote.com right (I won't if you think that's a bad idea though)? They post to other stores but also have their own store called RN Direct which I've never used but has their won database. It's just my opinion but I think every emerging artist, song writer or amateur musician should use routenote. It's very simple and has really been a good experience for the band. thank you.
- Thank you for your reply. At a minimum you need to comply with WP:COI, and I think you arguably need to comply with WP:PAID as you are acting as a representative of your community band in using Routenote and Routenote is providing it with a service.
- The list you attempted to post to is only for those online music services that have an existing Wikipedia article about them; it isn't to list every such service in existence. You won't be permitted to just add Routenote to the list unless you have written an article about it(which I'm not sure your conflict of interest would allow) and an article about it could only exist here if this service was written about with in depth coverage in independent reliable sources. OK, I will not write about Routenote. I was hoping to write about community bands in a general capacity. There are some great sources for people around the country. I was hoping to not be blocked when I do.
