Proposed deletion of Currency (film)

edit

The article Currency (film) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

All that I can find for this is IMDB. Fails WP:NF.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Joe Chill (talk) 23:55, 5 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

It is in AFD: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Currency (film). Joe Chill (talk) 19:12, 6 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Currency (disambiguation)

edit

Hi Brad!

At the deletion discussion of Currency film, you asked how to go about adding the film as an entry to the disambiguation page at Currency (disambiguation). It's pretty simple to do that, you would click "edit this page" as usual and add a line that states:

*Currency (film), a 2010 American film

You can read more about disambiguation pages at MOS:DAB.

For the time being, I would advise you to not enter your film at the above disambiguation page for two reasons. The first reason being that it will be seen as a clear violation of Wikipedia's official guideline dealing with conflict of interest which states "Where advancing outside interests is more important to an editor than advancing the aims of Wikipedia, that editor stands in a conflict of interest." As of right now, it seems as though your primary goal on Wikipedia is to advance your own interest, ie publicity for your film rather than expanding the online encyclopedia according to community set rules. If the community decides to discredit your contributions to the project on the basis of your edits qualifying as promotional and non-neutral, you will not be able to help us expand the article on your film once it is released and qualifies as an encyclopedic entry. The second reason is more technical and staright forward. Entries at disambiguation pages are restricted to: 1) existing articles and 2) articles that do not yet exist but for which there is a demonstrable demand. In a few days, once the deletion debate is concluded, the Currency (film) will be deleted so it will not meet the first criterion of inclusion into disambiguation pages. As far as satisfying the second criterion by demonstrating demand for your article, this is done by reviewing what other articles on Wikipedia may link to your article; this can be done by clicking here. If there are no articles linking to Currency (film), then the guideline suggests that an entry for that same article is not warranted. This is further explained here.

I hope this helps to answer some of your questions. Let me know if there is some other way I can help.
