CelsiusPro edit

The CelsiusPro article was deleted because it met criterion for speedy deletion G11 "Unambiguous advertising or promotion: Pages that are exclusively promotional, and would need to be fundamentally rewritten to become encyclopedic.".

Reading the pages Wikipedia is not a soapbox or means of promotion, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view and Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) should help explain what we are and are not looking for in terms of articles about companies and organisations.

I have, per your request, placed a copy of the article as a sub page of your user page at User:Rosannevdw/CelsiusPro. You should not move it back to the article space until you have rewritten it to address the reasons why it was deleted originally or it will be deleted again. You may not keep the page here indefinitely, if after a reasonable period (usually a matter of months) of time you have not edited or improved the draft it will likely be nominated for deletion. Thanks Thryduulf! Appreciate it. I've made some changes in the mean time, and to me it looks neutral enough now, including neutral references. CelsiusPro is a unique company, nobody else (yet) does what they do in weather risk management, so it's definitely noteworthy. Before posting it again, it would be great to hear your opinion about the article, am trying to avoid further issues. Thanks!- Rosannevdw (talk) 13:37, 19 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately I don't have time now to look at the article in detail, but there exists the Wikipedia:Requests for feedback page. If you follow the instructions there someone will take a look at it. Thryduulf (talk) 09:10, 20 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

July 2011 edit

Hello Rosannevdw. If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article CelsiusPro, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about following the reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  1. Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  2. Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  3. Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  4. Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Superp (talk) 18:38, 21 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
