In addition to the concerns over copyright, there were other reasons why the text you posted to the article was unsuitable. For one thing, it was not written from a neutral point of view, as required for Wikipedia articles. It was substantially reporting the opinions of people associated with the team and other people who wished to express admiration for the team.
