In the future, if you are going to delete an article, it would be nice to drop a note on the creator's talk page and explain why. Supertigerman 00:07, 29 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

VP

edit

Of course it is up to the moderators to decide the fate of your application, but they likely will reject it, because you have done only 108 mainspace edits, and the required minimum is 250 ;-). Bye and Happy Editing by Snowolf(talk) on 03:27, 30 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Your VandalProof Application

edit

Dear Rockvee,

Thank you for applying for VandalProof! (VP). As you may know, VP is a very powerful program, and in fact the just released 1.3 version has even more power. Because of this we must uphold strict protocols before approving a new applicant. Regretfully, I have chosen to decline your application at this time. The reason for this is that you only have 130 mainspace edits. Please note it is nothing personal by any means, and we certainly welcome you to apply again soon. Thank you for your interest in VandalProof. Betacommand (talkcontribsBot) 18:48, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sorry but a just received a letter about deleting something about Windows 2000 i wasn't even looking to the article

Adoption

edit

Hello! I'm an experienced user and am willing to adopt you. Check out my user page to see if you think I would make a good adopter. Then, post a message on my talk page telling me what you think. I'll be waiting... --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 21:57, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay dokay! Are you ready for your first assignment? --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 22:01, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

This assignment consists of two parts:

  1. Change your current adoption box to {{adoptee|Cremepuff222}}
  2. Tell me your current interests and what you would like to learn about.

Good luck! --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 22:06, 25 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism

edit

Sorry I took so long to respond!
There are many things that you can do to become a vandal fighter! You said that you do RC patrol, which is a very important step to becoming a good vandal fighter. You can add popups to your monobook, which allows you to see the changes a user has made. TWINKLE also speeds up the process of reverting, so also add that to your monobook.

Some tips on vandal fighting:

  1. Always leave an appropriate vandal tag warning tag on the vandaliser's user page. This will stop him or her in his or tracks.
  2. Always treat new users with respect, and remember that any accidental vandalism is possible.

Hope that helps! --Cremepuff222 (talk, review me!) 21:19, 26 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Adoption?

edit

Hi, Rockvee. It's been a while since we last talked, and I have to say that I'm a bit disappointed that you haven't contacted me in any way recently. Also, you haven't completed any of your assignments, so please get to work. If you would like to continue the adoption, please tell me on my talk page within 1 week. If there are any issues in real life that are stopping you from editing, I'll understand, but please tell me. I'll be awaiting your reply (and sorry if this message sounded like I was angry, I'm not). :) *Cremepuff222* 00:43, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

I understand, and please don't take what I've said personally. ;) It was nice adopting you for the small time we had! *Cremepuff222* 20:52, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply
I didn't mean it like that at all; I'm still in contact with my adopter a lot. I'm always available for help, so don't hesitate coming up to me with any questions. :) *Cremepuff222* 21:03, 21 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to VandalProof!

Thank you for your interest in VandalProof, Rockvee! You have now been added to the list of authorized users, so if you haven't already, simply download and install VandalProof from our main page. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me or any other moderator, or you can post a message on the discussion page. Daniel→♦ 11:58, 9 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rollback

edit

I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe I can trust you to use rollback correctly by using it for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. Reviewer permission

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Alternating Series

edit

Hi,

Thanks for writing me about the alternating series page. I re-edited the page to include the ln(2) thing, but I reworded stuff so it's mathematically correct. Check it out and let me know what you think...

Thanks, TRSH

ps I'm not sure how this talk thing works. If I respond to your talk on my wall, do you get notified? (Ie. What's a better form of communication: replying to you on my talk or writing to you on your talk?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chetrasho (talkcontribs) 20:41, 10 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Alternating series...

Thanks for getting back and appreciating the rewrite! Btw - I discovered a clever exploitation of the same logical misstep in this proof that 0=1. :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Chetrasho (talkcontribs) 00:00, 12 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Greetings Recent Changes Patrollers!

This is a one-time-only message to inform you about technical proposals related to Recent Changes Patrol in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:

  1. Adjust number of entries and days at Last unpatrolled
  2. Editor-focused central editing dashboard
  3. "Hide trusted users" checkbox option on watchlists and related/recent changes (RC) pages
  4. Real-Time Recent Changes App for Android
  5. Shortcut for patrollers to last changes list

Further, there are more than 20 proposals related to Watchlists in general that you may be interested in reviewing. (and over 260 proposals in all, across many aspects of wikis)

Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.

Note: You received this message because you have transcluded {{User wikipedia/RC Patrol}} (user box) on your user page. Since this message is "one-time-only" there is no opt out for future mailings.
