LaGerald Vick revisited

At the end of the day, Vick actually pulled his name out of the NBA draft (see here). That said, he may still have signed with an agent and could intend to go pro anyway. Maverick Rowan did that last year, went pro but didn’t like his draft position so he opted to delay his NBA eligibility a year to see if he could improve it. Not sure if your KU sources know what is going on here. Rikster2 (talk) 12:42, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

@Rikster2: I did come across this where it says "La La Vick said emphatically her son has not signed with an agent." So I'm not sure what's going on. It appears he's leaning towards going to the G-League but returning back to KU hasn't been ruled out. Guess time will tell.--Rockchalk717 15:39, 2 June 2018 (UTC)

List of current UFC fighters

Hi Rockchalk717, Thank your for your edits on the above page. Please note the following:

  1. Only "debuted" fighters are placed under the "weight class" section. If a fighter was signed by UFC but yet to be debuted, it will stay in "Recently signed" section. Once the fighters have fought in UFC then they will be removed from "recently signed" section and move to their respectively weight class sections along with the images (if any).
  2. Dana White Tuesday Night and TUF are not considered UFC events; however fighters who have fought in TUF Finale events are considered UFC event).
  3. UFC web site keeps all fighters have fought as well as those have yet to fight (with an upcoming bout) in their roster. To view the UFC fighter profiles in UFC to indicate if their are still currently a UFC fighters are not accurate. Also, many times press would announced a bout has changed due to injury sustains by fighters, but the fight card in UFC remain the same for weeks. In Wikipedia, we take the info from press as the secondary source for contain added.

Let me know if anything else I could clarify or help. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 02:15, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

@CASSIOPEIA: The only thing you listed I did not know that listing fighters in the weight class sections were only ones tahat had made their debut. I appreciate it though. I've been editing on here for some time I just don't edit the current UFC Fighters page very often. Please don't take offense to this but when communicating with another editor please use clear English. I had to read that several times before making sense of it.--Rockchalk717 03:20, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
hello Rockchalk717, sorry for my command of English as it is not my first language. I know a number of languages and none is considered as my mother tongue (my upbringing environment is a little different comparesto most ppl). Cheers. 03:34, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
@CASSIOPEIA: No worries. I had a feeling that was probably the case, as I'm sure is the case with your native language, it's pretty easy tell even in writing when someone isn't a native English speaker lol. I was a little nervous if you would take offense to that I appreciate you not taking offense lol.--Rockchalk717 04:02, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
You said it nicely - no offend was made. It is a disadvantage when you dont write or speak like native especially when you need to write a term paper/thesis in the university or a report at work, but being a multilingual, besides the obvious that it is convenient, you feel empowering for it enhances your life. A trade off that I willing to make. :) Have a lovely day Rockchalk717. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 06:13, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Malik Newman

This is literally an every year occurrence and the standard for signings is they are added once the team announces or adds the player to their roster. Literally hundreds of these instances every year. I could be a dick and enforce this on the Newman article, but I’m sticking to the standard for the roster templates. Rikster2 (talk) 00:49, 23 June 2018 (UTC)

@Rikster2: Thanks for clarifying. Did not know that was a standard on NBA roster templates. I usually edit NFL roster templates and there we don't want for an "official announcement". If multiple sources report a transaction we usually include/remove the player in/from the template. I'll wait until I see an official announcement. Don't come across so combative. Not everyone will still be as friendly as me with you sounding so combative.--Rockchalk717 01:12, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
Well, you might ask me what the deal is before just reverting my changes as well. Your language in the edit summary when you reverted wasn’t exactly warm and fuzzy either, man. No idea if this happens in football, but in basketball it happens a number of times a season where signings are announced and fall through before official. Rikster2 (talk) 01:19, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
@Rikster2: Fair enough. It's rare in football. The only time it happens is a failed physical, granted I say that and my favorite team called off a trade this off-season. I hope it goes through, obviously by username I'm a Kansas fan, and I'm a Lakers fan. With his page I suppose we could revert but put the current sports transaction on it. But then I'm sure IP's will probably add right back.--Rockchalk717 03:52, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
