Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions; however, please remember the essential rule of respecting copyrights. Edits to Wikipedia, such as your edit to the page Draft:Twelfth Night Revelers, may not contain material from copyrighted sources unless used with permission. It is almost never okay to copy extensive text out of a book or website and paste it into a Wikipedia article with little or no alteration, though you can clearly and briefly quote copyrighted text in the right circumstances. Content that does not comply with this legal rule must be removed. For more information on this, see:

If you still have questions, there is the Teahouse, or you can click here to ask a question on your talk page and someone will be along to answer it shortly. As you get started, you may find the pages below to be helpful.

December 2022 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without evidence of permission. Please take this opportunity to ensure that you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  signed, Rosguill talk 21:41, 29 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Your edits at Twelfth Night Revelers gives the impression that you are copying in information from other sources, then shuffling around wording a little bit in an attempt to comply with copyright policy. This, however, is not sufficient, and is readily identifiable as a copyright violation by our detection software. You are expected to consult sources, internalize their information, and then rewrite it in your own words, without copying material at any point in the process. signed, Rosguill talk 21:44, 29 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yet it was published? Robtin.Goodfellow (talk) 00:04, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
Why wasn't this mentioned before it was published? I would have happily amended the article to avoid copyright infringement. This block seems very punitive, which if I'm reading Wiki's rules on blocking right, should not be the case. Robtin.Goodfellow (talk) 00:07, 6 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
