Nick Drake grave photo edit

Hi... Would you mind identifying which grave in the photo is Nick's?

--Rrburke 20:09, 4 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your reply. Do you know anything about the circumstances of Nick's interment? It appears to be a Christian graveyard, but his death was ruled a suicide, if I'm not mistaken. Know anything about that?

Image tagging for Image:Milly1.jpeg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Milly1.jpeg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

A42 edit

Copied this from my talk page:

Hi! Thanks for dropping by. Right - the maps don't make that particularly clearly. In fact the OS map shows it as the A42 which is why I was linking to it. If there is a sign on the ground then if you get a photo we can add a section about the incorrect numbering - always good to point out the oddities on road pages! Regan123 20:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Just seen your edits to A42 road. I'm not sure what you're trying to get at there. The exit to the southbound M1 comes off the section you are saying is the A453 road. The version I posted reflected this map. The terminus was the roundabout with the A453. If the terminus exits you have listed are on the A42 then they need to go back into the table which is what this version indicated:
A42 Road
Northbound exits Junction Southbound exits
Donington Park services
East Midlands Airport, Diseworth A453
Nottingham A453
Terminus
M1 J23A
Start of road
Leicester M1
Nottingham, Sheffield M1 No exit
etc, etc...
There reason it states No exit by the Nottingham M1 exit is because you cannot physically exit the A42 at that point heading southbound. What's on there now is confusing. Regan123 21:35, 9 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Fair use image use edit

Greetings! I noticed that you have twice now [1][2] re-inserted fair use images into User:Robdav69/Userboxes/Numberwang after they were removed from that page. Please note that the image Image:Numberwang.jpg is marked with a fair use license tag. This means the image is copyrighted and its use here on Wikipedia is under terms of fair use. Per Wikipedia policy at Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9, the use of fair use images on non-main namespace articles is not permitted. This includes userpages and templates. I have removed the image again. Please do not re-add the image, or any other fair use image, again. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. Thanks, --Durin 23:11, 14 December 2006 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned fair use image (Image:NumberwangZ.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:NumberwangZ.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Bradley Daniel Worthington. Please response to this message if you might find yourself interested in corresponding. Email address is bwest1961@msn.com.

Image copyright problem with Image:Worthingtonblindhouse.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Worthingtonblindhouse.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MER-C 05:38, 13 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Outside2006.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Outside2006.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 13:08, 18 December 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mangostar (talk) 13:08, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

And if it's by you and you add this, can you add {{move to commons}} to the image page too? Thanks. Mangostar (talk) 13:08, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fábio da Silva edit

Being a "senior player" is not enough for him to have an article. When he plays in a competitive fixture, then he can have one. – PeeJay 10:35, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

You obviously don't understand the application of WP:ATHLETE. Players must have played in a senior competitive fixtures. Friendlies do not count. Being on the subs bench does not count. Having a squad number does not count. If Fabio received a career ending injury today, he would not be notable. Therefore, he must have played a match to be considered notable. – PeeJay 10:46, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

I've commented on the talk page regarding deletion of the article, as well as Wikipedia's NPA policy.  Frank  |  talk  00:22, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

August 2008 edit

A tag has been placed on Fábio da Silva requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. – PeeJay 23:02, 16 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fábio da Silva edit

Please don't recreate this article. It was deleted after a discussion, and will not be restored until he plays for the first team. Also, please do not misquote policies as you did on the talk page. You wrote that WP:ATHLETE covers:

Sportspeople who have played in a fully professional league, or a competition of equivalent standing in an individual professional sport, or at the highest level in mainly amateur sports, including college sports in the United States. Articles about first team squad members who have not made a first team appearance may also be appropriate, but only if the individual is at a club of sufficient stature that most members of its squad already have articles.

In fact, it actually says

  • Competitors who have competed in a fully professional league, or a competition of equivalent standing in a non-league sport such as swimming, golf or tennis.
  • Competitors who have competed at the highest level in amateur sports.[9]

Lying will get you nowhere, and will certainly win you no friends. Next time, I advise sticking to actual policies rather than made up ones. пﮟოьεԻ 57 18:43, 17 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're welcome to delete this picture of a lock up in Breedon on the Hill (UK). It's stood there for over 200 years and I took the photo in 2006. If you feel it's not worth being on Wiki that's fine, I get to enjoy it's beauty every time I cycle past and don't need to see it on Wiki. Your additions to this article are very good and make the article much better. However a lot of text appears to come from [here. If the text was substantially reworded and mixed with material from other sources then it would be a brilliant addition. Could I ask you to consider these changes or maybe you are the author and own the text on the other sites? Looking forward to your reply.... Thx Victuallers (talk) 11:38, 5 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs edit

Hello Robdav69! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 944 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Nomination of Lock-ups for deletion edit

A discussion has begun about whether the article Lock-ups, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Lock-ups until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. The Resident Anthropologist (talk) 05:20, 9 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
