Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "Aram-van". The reason given for Aram-van's block is: "(Arbitration enforcement: Violation of editing restrictions (Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Armenia-Azerbaijan 2): Democratic Republic of Georgia, Georgian–Armenian War. Likely User:Ararat arev sock.)"

Decline reason: Unfortunately it looks as though you may well be the same person. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:56, 4 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for block evasion. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I have nothing in common nor with Aram-van, neither with Ararat arev

Decline reason:

There was some similarity between your editing and Aram-van's editing, which in conjunction with the sue of the same IP address was enough to persuade me that you were the same person back in November, and I still think that looks likely. However, I am willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. JamesBWatson (talk) 22:47, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Comment. As an admin from hy-wiki, who knows Robb75 personally, I can confirm that it is very unlikely that Robb76 ever used a sock or is sock of any other user. Robb76 contributes to hy-wiki for almost 4 years know, he wrote hundreds of articles (Opera and History are his main subjects), he is highly respected in our community for thousands of GF edits that he made since registered. Right now, Rob helps to organize an international Wiki-conference in Armenia. I also know Aram-van (but not personally), since he is also active on hy-wiki. The two do not know each other and I think the sock puppet case must be a mistake. I hope you will unblock him soon. Kind regards, --vacio 16:03, 20 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
That's as may be, and I'm inclined to WP:AGF, but we still need to sort out why Aram-van's IP and Robb76's IP matched, if only briefly. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 13:42, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thank you four your response, UltraExactZZ. However, is there a clear evidence of IP match? The only SI case where Aram-van was involved is this one, but Robb76 nor his IP were mentioned there. Is it possible to verify the IP match? Please also note, that there is apparently a mistake in the SP template on the user page (Ararat arev <> Aram-van). Regards, --vacio 14:55, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
That would likely be a question for JamesBWatson. Initially, the system triggered a block automatically because the IP address with which Robb76 connected to the site was the same as that of a blocked editor. On review, JamesBWatson blocked Robb76 directly for sockpuppetry, which implies that there was some evidence (IP based, behavioral, etc) that connected the users. This information, especially where it involves IP addresses, is not always public. I'll leave a message for James asking him to confirm. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 16:25, 21 February 2012 (UTC)Reply
