Rob, Your addition to this article is very informative and makes the subject easy to understand. Your section does a good job at following wikipedia outlines and and layout. Perhaps to further expand your section of the article you could further explain the difference between direct and indirect investments. Another aspect you could possibly touch on to expand your section would be influences on market participation other than wealth. http://www.hindawi.com/journals/mpe/2014/906564/ this journal has interesting information on the importance of health, marriage status, and education (as well as wealth status) when it comes to market participation.
