TMNT Character List edit

Um, as the person who, according to you, recently vandalized the appearances table, I'd like to ask: what exactly was wrong with my alterations? The first three movies share the same continuity; they are not, as far as I know, different incarnations of the franchise (which is what the table attempts to catalogue). Posting each of the movies as separate entities is, to me, akin to separating the cartoons by individual episodes--you could do it, but what would the point be? By conflating the first three movies into one column on the table, I had hoped to make it easier to read, and save some space for an eventual column on the Image Series (which, due to its status as "retconned continuity" is a different incarnation of the TMNT)--why, then, is it considered vandalism?

On a different note, I see that the reversion you did on the table also undid a couple of corrections I made to it. Carter, according to his description below, did not appear in the Mirage comic books; likewise, Casey Jones, as far as I remember, did not appear in the Archie comics.

Thanks for listening,

Ian (July 10, 2006)

Hum, now that you put it this way, I see your point. I guess I was too quick on the revert-button. Sorry about that. -- Ritchy 15:56, 10 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

TMNT Movie edit

Damn, it'll have to be reverted. A friend sent me the whole plot summary through messenger claiming he wrote it. As for the images... I did upload them. And for some bizarre reason, they are not showing. If you click on my contributions, you'll see that they do show up. -ChuckyDarko

Dimension X edit

Dimension X in the TMNT series must be a galaxy or a group of galaxies, not an alternate dimension, and I can explain how. I only have the Swedish dub, but it can't be a misstake because the word dimension in Swedish also is dimension but the word galaxy is galax. (Dimension X is Dimension X also in Swedish, but with another accent).

1. When the Shredder opens the dimensional portal in the episode "Hot Rodding Teenagers from Dimension X", he says something about: "all weapons from the distant galaxies will belong to me". (Which also can mean that Dimension X is a group of galaxies, like the Local Group. (Local Group exists in reality and the Milky Way, our galaxy, is located in the Local Group).

2. When the Shredder takes the crystal from the kids in the episode "It Came from Beneath the Sewers" and one kid asks him from where he came, he answers something about "-From Dimension X, in a distant galaxy" (Shredder just says it, but he is from Japan).

3. When Krang sends Shredder to steal energy for the Technodrome in the episode "Super Hero for a Day", he says something about that they need power plants to, because of the distance. There is not this kind of "distance" between alternate dimensions (Personally, I don't believe in alternate dimensions, but I accept the theories in fiction).

4. A better example is the Archie TMNT comics, in issue 12 ("The Lost World"), Krang, Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady go to Dimension X by spaceship (and a dimensional portal is never seen) from the Earth and when they arrive in Dimension X, you can see Dimension X as a galaxy with spirals. Dimension X from outside it can also be seen in this comics in issue 23 ("Search and Destroy") and issue 25 ("Raw Power"). (81.233.220.208)

Just wanted to tell about an Internet site showing stars in Dimension X. Go to the Technodrome site (linking directly to the site is not allowed). Then go to "images" under "multimedia" on the main page. Then click for the pictures on the "Technodrome" and then on "Contributed 2". There you can see the Technodrome as seen in all the episodes, fro A to Z. From "Return of the Technodrome" you can see dark skies in Dimension X. "The Foot Soldiers Are Revolting" and "Venice on the half shell" (a Vacation in Europe episode) are some episodes where you can see stars. You can click on the pictures for larger versions of the pictures.

TMNT (2003 Series) edit

I don't have much to say, but thank you for the edit ont he list of episodes on the List of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) episodes. I'm considering doing plot synopses on episodes, but I'm not sure if I can do that on Wikipedia.

Hello again Ritchy, I've been working on the episode guide, so if you'd like, check it out, I just have add screenshots for season 3 and 4, and then tweak some of the blurbs (all blurbs except for season one were done others.)

Here's the link: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003) Episode Guide

Hey Ritchy, it's me again. I noticed you're doing the redirects for all the characters. We'll have to revamp a lot of the links so they go directly to the person's name on redirect, it will make it easier so people won't have to search for the character they're looking for. I'm sure it's just an early stage thing though, but nice work on the infobox at the bottom of the pages.

I was wondering if we should have a separate character guide for the comic, 1987 series, 2003 series, and movies, plus have the comprehensive character guide with table as you've made. Any thoughts?

I know as soon as I finish the 2003 guide, I'll be moving onto making an episode guide for the 1987 series, this becoming quite a project.

TMNT (2003) Character Guide edit

No problem with the image pending usage, but I know what I wanted to do with redirects. Whateer you've done is fine, I think I'll just have my wiki links direct to the section on the page. I'll end up changing a lot of the links later.

Hey Ritchy, I've been away for awhile, but I've been tweaking some stuff lately. I was wondering, would you mind if I went and replaced some of the images you uploaded with higher resolution screenshots from DVD? I'll also tag the screenshots with my info box so people can know the episodes, time codes, and DVD release the screenshot is from. I plan on using the same scenes also.

TMNT Screenshots
Hey Ritchy, I changed the image, but I can't upload a new image because of the different formats, I do the screenshots in PNG format, when the images online are in JPG format. I use PNG because I dislike the way JPG can compresses the BMP files I get from PowerDVD. I'll be changing the screenshot for Ch'rell because the screenshot from the NinjaTurtles.com site is okay, but I prefer the image where he just emerges from his armor (seen below).

tOkKa edit

Thank you,Ritchy for directing me to the information on the Wikipedia:External links and External link spamming. I am still learning Wikipedia and have reread the items. The following constitues the situation that had arisen. :

"... sometimes, people spam Wikipedia without meaning to. That is, they do things which Wikipedians consider to be spamming, without realizing that their actions are not in line with building an encyclopedia. A new editor who owns a business may see that there are articles about other businesses on Wikipedia, and conclude that it would be appropriate to create his own such article. A Web site operator may see many places in Wikipedia where her site would be relevant, and quickly add several dozen links to it."

This was all a misunderstanding and unintentional. The idle threat that was made twords me made the situation only worse. I am sorry for posting the links. I did not not know it was in violation. It my was view that the links were relevant to the article. To the rule's view they weren't. But again I now understand the rule. I will ill contribute the best I can. In the future please refrain from idle threats. I can be reasoned and compromised with. I am not some spammer out to cause problems. Thank you again for helping me to learn.

Four Turtles & a Baby edit

  • The official TMNT homepage tells that in the episode "Four Turtles & a Baby" (season 3, 1989), General Traag leads an attack against the neutrinios planet. I think I saw that episode back in 1992.

Tengu Shredder edit

The true Shredder's identity is related in a Splinter/Ancient One flashback in Lost Episode 3, "Legend of the Five Dragons". Having just seen episodes one, three, and four of the Lost Season On Demand, I can confirm it. The S 02:51, 10 August 2006 (UTC)Reply
