Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Dalder.lv edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Dalder.lv, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello Rihards.veters. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Rihards.veters. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rihards.veters|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 12:13, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello Theroadislong. I guess that you're mistaken about your statement, because I'm Board member of SIA DALDER (owner of dalder.lv) and I just want to add information about our platform, business model and future ideas to publicly available encyclopaedia which is Wikipedia. This will be interesting and fact based article in at least 3 languages. If you suggest that I somehow add information that this article is started by companies owner then give me information on how to do so. Rihards.veters (talk) 19:07, 28 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
What you're being requested to do is to formally disclose your relationship to the subject you intend to write about, so you don't again fall foul of the WP:PAID policy. Please note, this is neither optional nor debatable, but a hard requirement. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:33, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
So it's not possible to add information about Latvian company which works on new type of marketing platform.. Don't understand how this is different from Amazon, Ebay and other articles in wikipedia. Rihards.veters (talk) 06:42, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
It is possible to create an article on any company, as long as it is notable in Wikipedia terms, meaning that there exists significant coverage of it in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources.
The article must be written in a neutral, factual manner, so that it merely describes the company and does not promote it. On this point, please note that 'promoting' isn't limited to advertising or selling only, but is a much wider concept; see YESPROMO. Needless to say, all the information included must be verifiable from reliable sources.
However, given that you by your own admission have a conflict of interest (COI) in the subject, before you can create such an article you must formally disclose your COI, and your paid editing status, either on your user page, or on the talk page of the article/draft in question, or preferably both. You are also not allowed to publish the article directly yourself, but must submit it for pre-publication review via the AfC process, as indeed you did with your first attempt.

So I've followed the Wikipedia rules and added my connection to this company. I just want to add basic information about company and it's product - the portal. Just please help me to do so. I won't add any information that advertises the portal. Rihards.veters (talk) 06:55, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
What help are you asking for, specifically? There's a page that contains all the advice you need to create an article: WP:YFA; I suggest you try that. Just make sure to disclose your COI/paid at the first opportunity. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 07:01, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Rihards.veters, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Rihards.veters|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 07:28, 29 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
