Speedy deletion of Horse history edit

A tag has been placed on Horse history requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Sacking out edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please also read the basic guidelines for editing wikipedia before making further edits. In particular, read NO original research and What wikipedia is not as regards promoting your own business or commercial interest. If you have credible edits to make, incorporate them into the existing article, do not just randomly place redundant content in inappropriate locations. Wikipedia is a collaborative process, but there are rules and guidelines. Montanabw(talk) 22:15, 24 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for asking. Basically there were three main problems. One is that per Wikipedia's No Original Research policy, self-published materials cannot be used. (If you published this material in a national, third-party magazine, the published article might be closer to acceptable, but it still looks questionable if you added it. Also, commercial promotion is not acceptable -- while you don't charge for access to your web site, you are clearly promoting "Rick Gore Horsemanship" there.
Second, you simply slapped in a bunch of material, apparently verbatim from your web site, in the wrong location in the article, some of it duplicated what was already in there. Edits to existing articles need to consider what's already in there.
Third, it was mostly "how to" content. Wikibooks is the place for how-to material, not wikipedia, which is just an encyclopedia. You may want to look at wikibooks as a better alternative for detailed instruction. http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Main_Page Hope this explains things. Montanabw(talk) 00:14, 9 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

You need sources for your info, and besides, carrying on with FALSE and then some reason on wiki is not exactly proper. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 04:56, 29 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pidgeon Fever Worked edit

Hi Rickgore, Thank you for your efforts on the recent pidgeon fever article. I have just done some work on it such as fixing the section spacing and the coding for section titles. I have also done some work on your references adding a reflist. But I will say its much better if you go back and work the links into the article using the template, then it'll all work out much smoother. Also a "uncategorised" tag has been added. So, when you get a chance please pop back and take a look at what I did and if it is okay by you, and work in the links.

Wishing you the best and happy wikiing, (MrNiceGuy1113 (talk) 10:09, 4 December 2012 (UTC))Reply

reply to earlier edit

Hi RIckgore, thank for replying. To reply to a thread like this, just click edit at the very top of the page (like you would an wiki-article), scroll down to the bottom and start from there. To end your message you use ( 4x " ~ " this symbol) and message will be posted. As for your question I am sorry to say how you should approach your experienced person request, other than to send an email into command central with a query about proposing and then see what happens.

Kindest regards, (MrNiceGuy1113 (talk) 09:31, 5 December 2012 (UTC))Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of California Highway Patrol Rapist George M. Gwaltney edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on California Highway Patrol Rapist George M. Gwaltney, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
