Thank you for the fast response. Allow me to state how daunting a prospect my first contribution is! I have just spent some time at my profile, looking for somewhere to add the disclosure that user:Richieramone is linked to the proposed Homeless (record label) post but was unable to find anywhere that allows me to provide such information. I understand this is considered a Conflict of Interest however, please be assured that in no way do I receive compensation from Homeless Records. Homeless is an independent record label, struggling to survive financially, releasing mostly Australian music since its first release on July 19th, 2012. Four years later and 25+ releases makes me believe the contribution to Australia's music landscape has been significant by Homeless and should be recognised with a Wiki entry. My submission was recently deleted whilst I was away on an overseas holiday and not in a position to edit the current draft. I have requested the draft be restored and await completion of the review. Once restored, I would be looking for any help you and others can provide in order to complete the draft successfully. Thanks again and I look forward to working together on completing my first submission. Richieramone (talk) 02:45, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

What that will need is the best amount of in-depth third-party news sources about the label itself; NO press releases, trivial passing mentions, interviews or social media; I'll be honest and say chances are it's not actually notable yet. SwisterTwister talk 03:24, 8 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks talk - of course I disagree with you on the notability and I will attempt to convince you otherwise here with a small selection of citations. Firstly, many independent record labels put out ONE release and disappear, never to be heard of again. The amount of effort and expense involved in running a label is absurd. Especially when one factors in the stress and lack of financial gain. My peers and I often lament why we do it but reconcile ourselves that is all based on a passion for sharing great music with like-minded people. Having said that, Homeless has to date released 24 titles on vinyl over the past 4 years - a significant achievement by a one-man operation and no mean feat in the modern climate of people expecting music to be available instantly and free, or at worst, stealing or downloading illegally. The Homeless catalogue numbering system is currently allocated up to HOMELESS33. Homeless (based in Melbourne, Australia) has been cited by overseas publications, websites, record stores and influential authors as one of Australia's great record labels. The first release, now in it's FIFTH pressing, including a French edition, was referred to "this debut LP is a future classic of hairy-necked uberpunk". The writer, on influential music site The Quietus going on to state "I actually bought the download off their label Homeless Records' Bandcamp page, which I don't think I've done before except for charity releases. "Please, keep supporting the Homeless," said the label dude, almost like he knew." [1] "Homeless Records have supplied the world with a sizable heap of thuggish, tough-dude punk music out of Australia." [2] Henry Rollins collects the Homeless label. No citation unfortunately, just anecdotal evidence. U.S radio station WFMU are great supporters of the label, making the Sewers album "Release of the Day". (can't find citation but can keep checking as I'm sure it will exist somewhere) Two Homeless releases listed in the Tiny Grooves Top 30 Albums of 2013, alongside the big independent label names such as In The Red, Castle Face, Goner, Drag City, Thrill Jockey and Trouble In Mind) - no mean feat! [3] "Australia’s Homeless Records was the label of the year. Going from releasing one LP in 2012 (Bits of Shit’s debut) to ten this year, Homeless established itself as the go-to label for dirty, grimy real world rock music." [4] Plus repeated mentions and an article in long-running (35+ years) punk rock "bible" Maximum Rock'n'Roll, based in San Francisco. "One of Australia’s finest running labels - home of Cuntz, Subtle Turnhips, Gentlemen, Dan Melchior, and Bits Of Shit - have just added another breakthrough act to their stable." Welcome!

Hello, Richieramone, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Again, welcome!
