RE: Press Inquiry
editThough it is an interesting inquiry for privacy reasons I rather not. Good luck on your article.¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 22:12, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- How do we even know you're who you say you are and not some joker trying to fool decent Wikipedians? Note: if you ever respond to this, respond on this talk page, not mine, please. Acalamari 19:51, 9 February 2007 (UTC)

editHello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! HagermanBot 00:32, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Please Wait.
editI am unsure whether users are allowed to be interviewed about Wikipedia. I have a feeling that what you are doing could be against Wikipedia policies. I would like you to stop contacting users about press inquiries for the moment. In the meantime, I would like to know exactly why you have decided to contact users anyway. Is it because of the death of Anna Nicole Smith and you want to learn about what happened on Wikipedia? Is it also because you want to know what Wikipedians do in a situation like that?
One more thing, I do hope that you will ultimately use your account to do constructive edits to Wikipedia. If you are planning to use this account to help Wikipedia, then I, and many others users, will welcome that. However, please remember to sign your posts on talk pages using the four tildes. It's ok for him to contact people. :) --Jimbo Wales 18:26, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- My apologies for doubting you, Mr. Rushfield, since Mr. Jimbo Wales himself has said that it's okay for you to contact people. I had to be make sure that it was all right what you are doing. Acalamari 19:06, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
- A healthy dose of paranoia is sometimes part of what makes Wikipedia work so well. =P No hard feelings, I hope. — coelacan talk — 20:48, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
None taken!
editNo hard feelings at all. Paranoia is what keeps the world interesting. And I wouldnt trust me either.
And thanks Jimbo!
Just a note, even if you're only here to interview editors, you should probably take a quick look over WP's basic policies, the most important of which will be, to you, WP:TPG, WP:SIG and WP:5. You might also find WP:T educational. I hope you gain some interesting interviews and contribute to wikipedia in your free time, if you don't already! Welcome to wikipedia, and enjoy your stay -- febtalk 09:08, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
