Proposed deletion of Gazeta Antykwaryczna edit

The article Gazeta Antykwaryczna has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable magazine. Not clear when it existed. Cannot find any sources. Only source in article is a (reprint of?) an article that appeared in the magazine.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Texas Society of Sculptors edit

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Texas Society of Sculptors, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://tsos.org.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. Speedy deletion nomination of Texas Society of Sculptors edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Texas Society of Sculptors, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It appears to be a clear copyright infringement. (See section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. However, even if you use one of these processes to release copyrighted material to Wikipedia, it still needs to comply with the other policies and guidelines to be eligible for inclusion. If you would like any assistance with this, you can ask a question at the help desk.

  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Reasons to keep the article about Adloph Behrman edit

I have added an additional Reference notation. I am new to this Talk business and am not sure of all the regulations. in addition I have nome notations above that were, unsigned, as you have noted, which I will move down to this area.

The credibility of over 40 years of subject mater knowledge should amount to something. The Bherman listed in ArtCult is the same, but an error on Darmon's part. I have personal knowledge of this artist as does Dr. Waldemar Odorowski, the former director of the Nadwishlanskie Museum in Kazimierz Dolny. This article should stay. — Preceding unsigned comment added by RichardFoster1 (talk • contribs) 01:26, 12 August 2012 (UTC)

Don Chase edit

Can you give me any good reason why I shouldn't delete this article before someone else does? Deb (talk) 18:25, 17 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Yes... He is a historically viable contributor to the topic of Street Photography and his works crosses over to the area of Voyeurism. I believe, as an Art Historian that his work will be evaluated by other peers in a similar manner. RichardFoster1 (talk) 18:41, 17 December 2012 (UTC)RichardFoster1Reply

So - no independent references then? Deb (talk) 11:24, 18 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

YES, I have 2!

So- Please refer to the independent source (link below) for a solid reason why this article should be kept.

Response to the Nomination for deletion of the article Don Chase edit

I have located an independent Newspaper article see link --- http://www.leaderherald.com/page/content.detail/id/517423.html featuring a front page story about Don Chase in a recent opening of his work in the local daily newspaper RichardFoster1 (talk)RichardFoster1

I have made the entry on the page. Thank youRichardFoster1 (talk) 13:55, 20 December 2012 (UTC)RichardFoster1Reply

Should I wait to remove the tag? (for a vote of some sort?) Seeing that you were the only one to object to the article. I am certain other independent source may be identified in time. If you're satisfied kindly let me know. I can remove the tag, or you can. Thanks RichardFoster1 (talk) 14:06, 20 December 2012 (UTC)RichardFoster1Reply

One more outside reference located... (see link) http://www.fwcac.com/?exhibitions_detail/1524 Posted in article. ThanksRichardFoster1 (talk)RichardFoster1

So: Now that 2 outside references have been located and appear at the end of the article, please re-consider your position to delete. I believe the article should remain and be expanded with samples of his work as well as other references that others may like to post. Thank you. Nomination to Close the Discussion edit

I move to close the discussion and agree to publish the article "Don Chase" on the ground that 2 legitimate independent outside sources (articles) have been identified and are listed as such under heading as Outide References and Sources.

File permission problem with File:Artist Chaim Goldberg-circa-1931.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Artist Chaim Goldberg-circa-1931.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 20:46, 16 January 2013 (UTC)Reply

A reference problem edit

Hi! Some users have been working hard on Category:Pages with broken reference names.

Here you added a new reference ref name=psb but didn't define it. This has been showing as an error at the bottom of the article. Cite error: The named reference was invoked but never defined. Can you take a look and work out what you were trying to do? Thanks -- Frze > talk 11:03, 22 October 2013 (UTC)Reply
