List of prime numbers edit

List of prime numbers has a relatively fixed and systematic format. If you want to include other things then I suggest discussing it at Talk:List of prime numbers. Maybe they are better placed elsewhere such as Prime-counting function and Twin prime. Beware of WP:OR. The nth prime and pi(n) can easily be verified at http://primes.utm.edu/nthprime/ (and your numbers are correct). The nth of special prime forms is harder to verify. Interesting, I had no idea the Nth prime could be computed so easily. I don't think simply CALCULATING a number could be considered original research, but since the information already exists on the Prime-counting function page I removed it. I do think that if the Prime-counting function had been more obviously cross referenced I wouldn't have posted the extra info in the first place, so I added a brief statement after the list of 5000 primes to lead curious readers to the list on the Prime-counting function page for more primes. That's what I was looking for. I also removed the list of twin primes, I guess they are harder to calculate but they are still trivial. Rich.lewis (talk) 15:29, 13 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Kerry Thornley edit

I have no significant evidence to present in either case, other than official goverment documents. however, precedents on pages such as this work of fiction clearly establish that such sources are reliable enough for wikipedia's purposes. --PopeFauveXXIII (talk) 02:19, 14 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Are you sayinhg you believe Kerry Thornley to be a real histroical person or a work of fiction? Rich.lewis (talk) 21:50, 21 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bosenova Calculation? edit

For the paranoid could someone calculate the minimum amount of Rubidium needed to create a blackhole that would last long enough to collect enough mass to self-sustain? Or would the threshold to absorb matter be so high that only members of the condensate be converted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.127.128.2 (talk) 16:05, 9 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of 18.4 Gazillion edit

Hello, Rich.lewis. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, 18.4 Gazillion, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Haltendehand (talk) 22:09, 1 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Hst-orion-trapezium-2006-01-e-proplyd-crop.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 22 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
