Welcome edit

Hello, Ricedietprogram, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you have edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been reverted for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of deletion, you might like to draft your article before submission, then get me or any other editor to proofread it. To start creating a draft article, just click your user name at the top of the screen when you are logged in, and edit that page as you would any other. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

The one firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that if more than one person is using this account to edit, then unfortunately it will be blocked from editing.

If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Captain n00dle T/C 10:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rice Diet edit

Hello! I just thought that I would build upon what was said in that 'template'. You cannot edit articles to benefit yourself, unless a neutral editor would agree that your edits benefit wikipedia see Wikipedia:COI for more on conflict of interest and Wikipedia:NPOV for more on Neutral point of view. Unfortunately, you can't just "certify" an article that you agree with to say that it is correct, that is why referencing is used!!

Please note that the page Rice Diet has been requested to be deleted, this is because someone just copied this information from another website. Unfortunately it doesn't matter who copies it, or if they copied it from their own site, it is copyright infringement.

I would love it if you could give your input to creating a new article in its place, however you need to remain neutral and create a purely informative non-biased article, with references! (I'm pretty sure that unless you reference, any edits that you do will be reverted)

Thank you in advance and best regards, Captain n00dle T/C 10:35, 21 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Rice diet program edit

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Rice diet program, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.ricedietprogram.com/page/view/what_is_the_rice_diet.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, your account has been blocked; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. Thank you. -- Ed (Edgar181) 13:41, 17 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
