Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended or used for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, or organization. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

You are still welcome to write about something other than your company or organization. If you do intend to make useful contributions on some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, please see how to appeal a block. Alexf(talk) 13:13, 28 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

UTRS decline edit

I'm sorry, but I cannot unblock you at this time. Please describe in greater detail how your editing was unconstructive and how you would edit constructively if unblocked. ( Please read Wikipedia's Guide to appealing blocks for more information. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Guide_to_appealing_blocks) As you still have access to your talk page, please post your unblock request to your user talk page, omitting any off-Wiki personally identifying information. If you have not already done so, please place the following at the bottom of your talk page, filling in "Your reason here "
 {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
Thank you for your attention to these matters.

Request reason:

(1) I have no idea why I was ever blocked by Alexf. (2) How was my editing not constructive? Show me one thing I edited on Wikipedia that was incorrect ie not true? (3) If I was going to edit it would obviously be constructive. Where do you think most of the information came from for this page? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bronze_Cross_of_Rhodesia It came from me and so did the photo. I'm in the process of writing a book at the moment titled 'The Secrets of Collecting Rhodesian Para Wings & Selous Scouts Insignia' which will be more detailed and comprehensive of anything ever written. I'm a world-renowned collector and classed as one of the top authorities on what I collect. If you people for whatever reasons refuse to allow me to edit then so be it. To be honest this will be my last appeal because I'm not very interested in authoritarian style sites. Rhodesianmilitaria (talk) 08:22, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I was sympathetic with you until the last lines of your appeal; you don't seem particularly interested in making contributions, and if you think we are just "authoritarian", I see no grounds to lift the block, an as such I am declining your request. Just as you can determine what is said and done in your residence, Wikipedia can determine what appears on its computers. If you change your mind, please explain where you've been for 9 years and what edits you want to make. 331dot (talk) 10:02, 24 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
