Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Caliban, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Balinka. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Tennis player templates

edit

When adding new templates, please make sure they are collapsed or put in nav boxes as was just done at Ashleigh Barty, and is done at Roger Federer. It starts to get messy really quickly otherwise. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:56, 14 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

What is the purpose of these? They seem random, not using the project banner, not being categorized properly? I have started a discussion to try to understand and qualify their usage. Stop creating player templates for every player.

edit

Stop creating player templates for every player such as Template:Samantha Stosur. They may have "some" purpose the greatest most prolific players in history, but not every player. This was discussed at Project Tennis recently and nothing was shown that we need them. Fyunck(click) (talk) 18:50, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Player templates again!

edit

Look. Tennis Project and Wikipedia at large has deemed these individual player templates as useless in discussions. Many have already been deleted. I have refrained from listing a deletion discussion for the absolute most important players but I will if you continue disruptive editing by removing tournament names and inserting cities, and by using tiny little icons against MOS. Please stop changing these templates to something non-standard. Fyunck(click) (talk) 19:30, 9 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

@Fyunck(click), can you point to the discussion(s) where Tennis Project and Wikipedia at large has deemed these individual player templates as useless. The only project discussion I have found, #Player Templates?, has general agreement not to use the little symbols and overuse of color (which I agree with), but doesn't speak to the utility of the templates generally.
