Warts

Thanks for all of the info you have provided. Retroid, I see that you are a viroligist near DC, perhaps you could help me. I'm hesitant to send email. I'm a lab geek (not a medical doctor) so I'm not qualified to offer anyone any medical advice. Sounds dreadful about the warts. The fact that I occasionally get isolated warts on my hands and feet is one factor in my feeling that medical research should target all HPVs everywhere for eradication as soon as possible. Maybe try contacting one of the HPV research bigwigs in the DC area - Dick Schlegel (Georgetown) and Doug Lowy (National Cancer Institute) spring to mind. I think they're both certified M.D.s, who might at least point you in the right direction for the sort of specialist it sounds like you might need. Retroid 19:34, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

In the future, please save GIF images in the PNG format before uploading (see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload). PNG images almost always have a smaller file size, which decreases the amount of time they take to load. Sorry I never got back to you, NCdave. After doing some editing work on papillomaviruses a while back, I decided I was becoming kind of OCD and went cold-turkey on all Wikipedia activity. Wondering if there is any chance you'd email me. I'm working on some research concerning cervical dysplasia and hpv, and have a few questions on the hpv side.
