Couple of minor details edit

Hi Rerumirf. During your (otherwise much appreciated) edits to various Scandinavia-related articles, you made a couple of minor mistakes. In this one you changed "–" to "-", but the former is actually correct according to WP:ENDASH. We have standards for everything in Wikipedia ;) The other issue is this one, where you changed the British English date format to the American one. That can really bring some editors' blood to the boiling point, so we have some guidelines at MOS:DATE (and more generally WP:ENGVAR), which basically state that you shouldn't change the format unless the subject of the article is specifically associated with one or the other flavor of English. Sorry to be pedantic, and continued happy editing. Favonian (talk) 12:19, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for telling me about this and for giving me the links to the Wikipedia pages. I still have problems about the pictures: With "." in the end of the text below the picture or without "." Rerumirf (talk) 12:23, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Yes, I noticed quite a few edits on that issue. Looks like you are following the correct grammatical rule (as I remember it), namely that the full stop should only be there when it's a real sentence with verb and all. Favonian (talk) 12:25, 23 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Confirmed user edit

Regarding your question at the help desk: normally you would need to wait 4 days after creating your account to become "confirmed" and able to upload images. However, I've reviewed your edits, you seem to be a force for good and not for evil, so I've gone ahead and short-circuited that; you should be confirmed now, and able to upload images immediately.

You mentioned uploading a "fair use" image. As a new user, please double check that you're following the directions for uploading, and (especially) justifying fair use images with a clear rationale, as it will avoid annoying problems later. Ask if you need help. --Floquenbeam (talk) 14:40, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for helping. By the way the file is this: [[File:Steinway Musical Instruments - Logo.gif]]. Rerumirf (talk) 15:42, 24 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Aarhus University logo.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:Aarhus University logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:22, 21 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
