"the more beautiful flower"

edit

Thanks again for your help with the "Black Speech" article in the languages of Iberia. As I said, though I can read three of them to varying degrees, I cannot write them except for very simple Spanish.

Your display signature includes the sentence I will never forget that i fell in love with the more beautiful flower. I don't know if that's a quotation, but it made me think of my dear wife, whom I lost three years ago after more than 40 years together. And that is why I am writing to tell you that I see one or two errors in the English there:

  1. The pronoun I (= es. yo) should always be capitalized. The reasons are historical and complicated, but have nothing to do with egoism. So "i fell in love" should normally be "I fell in love"
  2. The construction "the more beautiful flower" is unusual. Most often we would say "the most beautiful flower", meaning "the most beautiful flower of all flowers" or "... of all that were there" or something like that. "The more beautiful flower" implies that there were only two flowers in consideration. If that's not what you meant, you might want to change it to "most".
