Games Workshop Online Community

edit

Would you have time to discuss some of the points you raised at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Games Workshop Online Community (2nd nomination)? I missed the debate and only noticed it when the redlink appeared on a bot-generated list I follow. I've read Games Workshop, and I was wondering if there was any information in Games Workshop Online Community that could have been merged to that parent article? It would seem logical to at least have a section about the online games and community, if not necessarily a separate article. One of the online campaigns that has an article is The War of the Ring Online Campaign. Do you think any of the information in the deleted article is missing from these articles? If anything, the stuff at the AfD about how the community existed at the time the forums were running, and then dispersed when the forums were closed, should be noted somewhere, if only to help prevent someone trying to write this sort of article again.

And one side point, about verification of sources, you ask for a time machine to be able to verify the contents of a radio show. In fact, WP:V does not require this. All that is required is to cite the source. If you can't access the source (maybe because it is an old newspaper not available online, or because it is a very rare book), doesn't invalidate the use of such sources.

Anyway, my main point is about whether any useful information could be merged. As the nominator, I wanted to run this past you, and if you are OK with it, I'll ask the deleting admin to temporarily undelete so I can look at the article and merge any verifiable content to other articles (I know you think there are no reliable sources, but have a look at the content after I've merged it, and see what you think). Would you be OK with this? Carcharoth 10:02, 4 October 2007 (UTC) Reply

Repost of Category:User en-6

edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:User en-6, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:User en-6 was previously deleted as a result of an articles for deletion (or another XfD)

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:User en-6, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself.
