The paragraph you contributed was really good! However, there are a few errors I saw such as under the earlier years section there is a sentence that is not finished. Also I feel that there are a few questions that may benefit your article such as did he have children? Did he go to college? Did he write any other books? What you published is very valuable information. However, where the first paragraph is inserted in the article is a little confusing. Also, some of the information in the first paragraph is repeated information. I'd recommend moving this paragraph to the top of the "Publishing and travel career" section as I think it would serve as a good "introduction." You could also use well-written sentences in your paragraph to replace existing sentences in the "Publishing and travel career" section that could use serious revising.

In the second paragraph you included, I think this would fit better under a new heading, maybe a heading like "Influence." What you wrote adds a lot to the article, specifically on the impact it's had on African American people, but It doesn't necessarily relate to Green's "Publishing and travel career."

In regards to what else you could add, maybe include more in his bibliography (if that information is available of course), as there is a lot about his involvement with the Green Book, but not necessarily as much about himself.

Your writing style maintains a neutral tone, and is not biased. However, when writing for wikipedia, consider including more links to other related topics.

Overall, what you added is concise and easy to understand and beneficial to the rest of the article. Just consider moving it around to new places to better fit the article's organization

Your assumptions should not be placed in articles

I realize that you are a new editor working on a school assignment, but you are also working on a large volunteer effort toward knowledge, and you seem to be adding things that you guess are true, which is not in the spirit of the matter.

Each article has a Talk page for discussing the editing of the article. If you were to look at Talk:Victor_Hugo_Green#Green_Book_misdescribed, you would see problems that have already been raised with your edits. And in your latest edit, you added:

• Green Book (2018), dir. Peter Farrelly, a biography detailing the life of Victor Hugo Green.

...which is not at all what the film Green Book is about. The entire film takes place after Green's death, and while his work is mentioned, to the best of my recollection, he is not; it certainly is not about his life.

Please review your edits in light of these comments, correct where appropriate, and in the future, keep an eye on the Talk page and try to avoid unsourced assumptions. --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:51, 4 December 2022 (UTC)

I apologize for my earlier edits on the page--they were careless. Truthfully, I did not mean to discredit the work you or everyone put into the page with these edits. As you have noted, I am doing these edits as an assignment and failed to realize the importance of the information I included and/or excluded. Also, I see the comments that you made earlier with regard to my previous edits--they are much appreciated.

As such, I've included the proper description of the film and its public perception.

Thank you for addressing that, and I hope that you do end up taking the knowledge from this editing experience and go on trying to enhance Wikipedia.

Having said that, I am going to note a few ways in which your edit could've been better:

• You checked the "minor edit" checkbox when doing that edit. For Wikipedia, any edit that adds or removes information should not be marked as "minor"; that is to be used really only when doing spelling corrections, formatting changes, or similar things that do not change the central content of the page.

• The name of the Green Book film does not need to be wikilinked every time it appears. Just having it the first time is fine. (Really, something shouldn't be wikilinked more than once in each section of the page.)

• To reflect the film's place in culture it may be less important to note the film festival award than to mention that it won the Best Picture Oscar, generally seen as the pinnacle award in film.
