License tagging for Image:Turbine-sunset1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Turbine-sunset1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --OrphanBot 19:08, 14 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:North Pickenham sign.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:North Pickenham sign.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

External Links edit

Please do not introduce inappropriate external links and un-encyclopaedic content into articles as it will be removed. I have been through a lot of articles and have had to make many edits to remove content you have provided as it does not meet Wikipedia guidelines. As many of your edits were a number of months ago, it would be improper to give you a template warning in this respect, however, should you start editing in this way again, you will receive warnings, and may potentially be blocked from editing. NowCommons: File:Aerial Pickenham Airfield.jpeg edit

File:Aerial Pickenham Airfield.jpeg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Aerial Pickenham Airfield.jpeg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Aerial Pickenham Airfield.jpeg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 21:02, 17 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:North Pickenham.gif edit

Thank you for uploading File:North Pickenham.gif. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:08, 8 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
