Sockpuppet investigation edit

An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Apollo The Logician, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community. Jamez42 (talk) 11:25, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'm very sorry about starting an investigation and for suspecting you, specially since you haven't edited disruptively. However, I have found several similarities in edit behaviour, and I think it's better to make an investigation. Best wishes. --Jamez42 (talk) 11:25, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hi there. I wish you had opened a discussion on my talk page with me before accusing me of being a sockpuppet, so that we could have cleared up this misunderstanding together. I've responded to your allegations on the discussion page. I know you only have the best of intentions, and I'm confident the investigation will clear me of any wrongdoing. We've actually edited a page together before, and did so constructively and without edit wars despite our opposing views. I hope we can continue having a cordial relationship as editors in the future, and I have no ill-will towards you for the investigation. :)

Hi. Many thanks for your thorough response to the investigation. I hope you understand my position, the sockmaster has come back for many articles several times, so I'm usually very cautious. While a checkuser wasn't done and many of the points explained in the response don't answer directly to the points made, I really don't mind since the only thing I want to prevent is disruptive editing, and as I have mentioned before, I'm grateful you're a civil editor. I think it's likely that now we can focus on what truly should be done: editing constructively. Best regards :) I'll be answering to the questions raised in the talk pages in the following hours. --Jamez42 (talk) 19:41, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
Following the spirit of what you've previously mentioned, I've been wondering: why did you decide to edit on the inauguration's article on that specific date? Best regards. --Jamez42 (talk) 21:50, 16 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Jamez42. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Jamez42 (talk) 15:19, 15 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
