W. Patrick Murphy moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, W. Patrick Murphy, does not have enough citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your page to draft space (with a prefix of Draft: before the article title) where you can work on it with minimal disruption. When you feel that it meets our notability and neutrality requirements, and is thus ready for mainspace, please submit it using the Articles for Creation template on the page.   • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 16:07, 11 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you Worldbruce, et al. I understand the COI policy and would like to declare that I do work for the same organization as W. Patrick Murphy, the U.S. Department of State. That said, W. Patrick Murphy is not my supervisor or in my chain of command, and he is not responsible for my employment status or financial well-being. As you know, the Department of State is a very large organization comprised of thousands of people. Respectfully, I would ask the Wiki editors to please note that every point in the now reduced draft is amply confirmed by independent reporting, and sincerely I have not made any attempt to embellish the truth, as I have no reason to do so. If you have further concerns about my status or the status of the draft, please let me know prior to the next review. Thank you. Best, redmercw
