Use of edit summary

edit

Hello, Redenertime. I noticed your use of the edit summary "Some minor changes" in these 20 contributions yesterday and today. Please use the edit summary field to describe why your change is an improvement; eg., "Removed flag not used during the Empire of Slobovia period" or whatever the case may be. And, if it represents a change from previous consensus or long-time usage, you should consider adding a citation to a reliable source which supports the change, as all content at Wikipedia (including images) is subject to the Wikipedia Verifiability policy. In particular, please do not use the word minor in an edit summary, unless your edit really is a minor change; see WP:MINOR to see what qualifies (mostly typos, and similar). Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 07:23, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

July 2024

edit

Hi Redenertime! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Russian Empire that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Thank you. Remsense 17:03, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Haile Selassie I

edit

This edit of yours was very clearly not minor, you could discuss the issue regarding the Emperor's line of succession in the talk page if not then it would be considered an edit war. Please do discuss this at the talk page since this topic already has 4 archives discussions. It is well acknowledge the Italy only occupied Ethiopia and any claim of legal authority or succession has been revoked by the League of Nations and Ethiopian Government and so on. Thanks for your contributions to Bay of Corrientes. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it has no sources. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
