Speedy deletion nomination of World First Gymnastic Artist

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on World First Gymnastic Artist requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://theconversation.com/ghanas-chale-wote-festival-lifts-spirits-frees-souls-64678. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - MrX 12:56, 2 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Realpen pencil/sandbox/Wikipedia, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service, and which is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages; user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Please help me with my wikinews articleor my created reference(s) to be published internationally

Realpen pencil (talk) 20:49, 23 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry, but I do not think those sources suffice to establish that you meet Wikipedia's standards of notability (see WP:NARTIST for the relevant guideline). Some of those links don't represent independent sources; two are identical. One does not seem to mention you at all. For helo with WikiNews you would need to ask on that sister project, but merely copy-pasting an article is a copyright violation, and is not appropriate. Personally I'd advise you not to write about yourself; that's rather difficult due to the inherent conflict of interest. Huon (talk) 21:37, 23 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia is not for publishing a page to tell the world about yourself and get publicity. Creating an article on a subject to which you have a close connection is discouraged, and that includes writing about yourself. Writing promotional articles, full of glowing praise for yourself, is not permitted at all. Creating a page consisting purely of links to pages on other web sites telling us how wonderful you are is not acceptable. You are welcome to start contributing to Wikipedia in a neutral way on other subjects, unconnected to yourself, if you would like to, but if your only aim is to get publicity for yourself, then Wikipedia is not the right place for you.
