Berber, Southern Mediterranean edit

Hello Red3e, I noticed your contribution to the Jewish Berber page and I thought you might in some way be interested in all articles concerning the southern mediterranean region of the Maghreb , as well as Berbers. It seems these articles have been hijacked by afro-centric crazed irrational black sub-saharan africans who wish to rob this region of its veritable mediterranean heritage, in all its complexity. I am waging a losing battle, as I have not the patience to deal with the absurdities that are being written about this region, with one user going so far as to claim that the inhabitants are black, that sudan is a north african country, that ancient egypt is a sub-saharanculture. So, I would simply like to bring this problem to the attention of anyone concerned. A source that is often cited is one that used less than 100 subjects from the mauritanian, south moroccan region, a region we all know to be dissimilar to the very distant lands of Tunisia and Algeria, particularly in the north. The findings from this study, often cited (source: spain) are then often applied to the vast region (more than twice as large as europe) of north Africa, which is absurd. so please..if you know anyone who is from this region, be they Jewish, Christian or Muslim, and who are aware of their culture, ask them to pay close attention to these articles, because I again lack the patience and cannot deal with such stupidity. I personally hope wikipedia sinks, I do not believe just anyone can interpret history, since most people are scatterbrains it seems. Thank you..ciao

Re Tarifit wikipedia edit

Hi Faysal, Can you help me to construct a request for a new wikipedia in Tarifit? See my reply on Toira's talkpage: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Toira#Wikipedia_in_Berber Tanks in advance, Read3r 13:36, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Read3r. Have you had a look at How to start a new Wikipedia? -- FayssalF - Wiki me up ® 17:18, 4 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I did, See my request: Wikipedia Tarifit (Request for new language). Best regards! Read3r 17:06, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Cool. I've just voted. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up ® 18:36, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Great, you did a good work, now I've created a test wiki for you on the incubator [1], go there, create an account and start creating articles, don't forget that you must respect the prefix nomenclature. If you want to contact me, please do so on the incubator [2], not the english wikipedia (as you can see I am not very active on the english wikipedia). Toira 20:59, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

And just a reminder: the incubator is the most important step in starting a new wiki, all the rest is more or less "bullshit".Toira 21:00, 6 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your support: Fayssal and Toira!. @Toira, thanks for creating the rif-incubator, but i will have to translate it to "Tarifit". Best regards! Read3r 15:37, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
Welkies. I just have a simple note. I don't see the need of having the flag of the Rif Republic at the Tarifit version wiki. The Tamazigh flag is sufficient. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up ® 16:21, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
I think i will remove both of the "rif" and "berber" flags. I would like to to give it a colorless appearence. Read3r 16:29, 7 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Yesterday I added an entry for the word ayfir "agave plant" to the Tarifit incubator site. I don't see where it showed up at all. There was no orthography guide when I added this so I used an orthography based on INALCO. I see an orthography guide has shown up today. Can we discuss this orthography? Hopefully the site goes well. I'm very interested in helping out. Ayfir 13:04, 8 March 2007 (UTC) File:I-ayfir4.jpgReply

Hello, nice! Your contribution is so much appreciated. I hope you stay and enjoy editing the incubator-tarifit. So that we can improve it and guide it to a successful end; This is your page:

http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wp/rif/Ayfir I added to the list of the articles written in Tarifit on: http://incubator.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wp/rif

Thanks.Ayfir 18:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
You should also add them to that section. we will be then able to show the articles easily to the new users on incubator-tarifit, i hope.
I guess the articles I write will not show up automatically. Or is there some way to do that? I added an article on akerzyan just now, but it did not show up. I used the box given on the main page of the Tarifit Incubator site to add the entry. Do you need to see the article first and then it gets added?Ayfir 18:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
By the way, i seized the images, and removed the third one, so that the page would be faster downloaded, like i removed your sign in the page, because you should use your sign in the talk page. To revert the articles or to see the writers of the page/article you can click on "hisotry" besides "edit", discussion, watch...
Good idea. I have a fast connection and the pictures were showing up quickly for me. Others might not have such a fast connection.Ayfir 18:47, 9 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
You should contact me on the tarifit incubator for futher discussions concerning the orthography, there is already a discussion with Toira (a kabyle user). Best regards! Read3r 17:42, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

About "akerzyan", it seems you have not submitted it correctly. If you have used external links, it might that incubator wikipedia has asked for typing some letters as a protection against automated spam. Sometimes it may be due to database problems. To add/create an article you can use that box, you will see a blank page, you write the content/text and then you submit, if you have also added external links, you will have to type the given anti-automated spam letters/words. Or you can create article without that box, all you have to do is creating a wiki-link (in your userpage as example or in the main page) like as follows: [ [Wp/rif/akerzyan] ] (withoug spaces between the [ and [). It would be like this Wp/rif/akerzyan after save the page, whereaftere, you click it, and you write the content like you did in article of "Ayfir". (To find your articles, you can use the link [Ayfir's contibutions] besides "my watchlist" above. If you still have questions, just ask me (By the way, i didn't write yesterday any article (and maybe today too). But i tomorrow is a free day, and i will write some articles (although) not in high quality). Read3r 13:16, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

I see it, you wrote it anonimousily. See your talk page, you will find it. Read3r 13:32, 10 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Berber page edit

I am genuinely shocked by your reverts and the reason you supply for such amendments. The fact that you consider facts "racial centric" does not license you to revert to an inaccurate and misleading version. The current version is nearer to truth, though it is still flawed in that other sections need to be addressed. Please do not subject authenticity and truth to POV preferences and sentiments. Irrer 17:46, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

When you see some mistakes, you should then notice them in talkpage, and discuss them in order to explore the other opionions. Because being conviced that you're truly right, doesn't mean you are right. Yet, you don't have to change all the article, even when you find inaccurate facts. And above all, there are not a lot of people who are interested in the skin en eye colors. Read3r 17:55, 13 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:Imedghasen.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Imedghasen.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
