How is your un-cited award relevant to a list of transportation venues in Tucson? Do you work for Sun Tran? Who cares about this award, it is not notable nor relevant

please give a reason for an edit in the comment box. This will help in knowing your reasons, otherwise it may be construed as vandalism. Thanks! Somerset219 02:50, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

umm... I'm sorry if I came across as rude, however, I feel I was pretty clear and gave you the benefit of the doubt. I gave valid reasons for my revert, as a courtesy to other users like yourself. You gave no reasons; what else could I have done? Somerset219 06:18, 1 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Page Blanking

edit

Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to Reverse Prince Albert piercing. Blank pages are harmful to Wikipedia because they have a tendency to confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalised, please revert it to the last legitimate version. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please edit the page and replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please see the deletion policy for how to proceed. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! -- JLaTondre 17:11, 9 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

I believe your last message on my talk page really should have been addressed to Centrx based upon the edit history. Thanks. -- JLaTondre 23:13, 10 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Slightly different but closely related topics do not warrant separate encyclopedia articles. You can reduce confusion by explaining the difference in the main article on the subject. —Centrxtalk • 00:20, 11 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Overdose

edit

Hi. You're not supposed to list how the person died in their info box anyway. Look at other dead celebrities: Brandon Lee, Marilyn Monroe, Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, etc. So, River shouldn't have his any different than theirs. If people want to know the way he died, that's what "reading" the article is for. oncamera(t) 11:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree Image:Ampallang Piercing.jpg

edit
An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Ampallang Piercing.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. Please go to its page for more information if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Thanks for answering. Thislittlemonkey added "found on a pornography page at freeones.com" on 2 April 2007. Since I cannot readily tell whether your or his/her statement is true, I would err on the side of caution and propose a regular deletion. On 30 October 2006, User:Iain uploaded an image with the same name but considerably different, so I also notified him/her. In addition, Wikimedia Commons also have an image with the same name, so I need correct licensing information while administering BOTH English Wikipedia and Commons. From now on, you may want to add your uploads to your watchlist in case anyone makes changes.--Jusjih 11:24, 23 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
Do you have a username in Wikimedia Commons? Have you asked User:Iain who uploaded an image with the same name? I consider this case complicated by the second upload not made by you.--Jusjih 00:14, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
After a careful review, you seems to have acted in good faith, but User:Iain uploaded in October 2006 an image with the same name without answering my inquiry and Thislittlemonkey added "found on a pornography page at freeones.com" on 2 April 2007 without any other edits. I have reverted the image and its description and dropped my questioning at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images. Please add it to your watchlist for any vandalism. Case closed for now,--Jusjih 16:48, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply
I have undeleted the file. Please go there to correct the problems.--Jusjih (talk) 01:17, 1 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cause of Death in Info Box

edit

Hello. I am not a member of the Project, but I do a lot of work on biographies. I wish you folks would revisit the idea of adding "cause of death" to the info box. I noticed you proposed this idea a while back, but only a couple of people responded. What do you think about proposing it again? -- Michael David 19:53, 10 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Darkwing duck.JPG

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Darkwing duck.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:38, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Image:Ampallang Piercing (RDW 2007).jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on Image:Ampallang Piercing (RDW 2007).jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Ampallang Piercing (RDW 2007).jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 19:24, 21 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
