James V. Toner edit

There's already a draft of this article at Draft:James V. Toner, please work on that with the other user, Creating a new article about him without appropriate sourcing will just result it in getting deleted again. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:14, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

... also, please don't create articles that say something like "This article is currently under the editing process". That is what we have drafts for: a page should not be released as a publicly visible article until it is reasonably ready. Hey fella's, thanks for the advice. I've been getting some serious heat about Mr. Sasha Rearick's poor article writing regarding the subject, and wanted the public to rest assure that the situation is being taken care of. Thanks

Just make sure that your Wikipedia article is in compliance with Wikipedia policies including WP:Notability, WP:Verifiability, and WP:No original research. I bring up that last one in light of your claim (at User talk:Joseph2302) that you will write the article based on your "knowledge of my own regarding the subject matter". —C.Fred (talk) 20:38, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, RandyPelkey. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. There is definitely some sort of off-Wiki connection between yourself, James V. Toner and User:SashaRearick- on my talkpage, you said "Dear Sasha- I am happy to inform you that I have accepted your request to write the article on "James V. Toner". I completely understand your lack of experience in article writing and I am glad to help. Having written articles on James in the Cape Cod Times over the past two years, I will be able to incorporate knowledge of my own regarding the subject matter, and include references to my previous editorials on him which cannot be found online. Please send me the original draft you created, so I may make changes where needed and enhance the quality of the piece, <redacted> Many thanks! -R " Please explain your affiliation to James V. Toner and User:SashaRearick- please answer on your talkpage, not mine. Joseph2302 (talk) 22:46, 9 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
