what i meant is that while this story may be studied in some schools, a few study guides on it are not necessarily enough critical attention to warrant a separate article. we would need a review of the story, an award for it, etc. stories are easily added to syllabi of english courses due to their being, well, short. no slight against tan here, i predicted her doing very well back when joy luck came out in paperback, i ordered more than the store owner wanted to, she cut the order back, we sold out in a day, so lost sales that week.Mercurywoodrose (talk) 03:23, 2 November 2016 (UTC)
