  Hello, I'm John from Idegon. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Hoover High School (San Diego), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 15:59, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

A city of san diego source is a nonreliable source? Do I need to contact wiki support?

Neither of the sources you've offered even mention the name of the subject of the article. The existing copy states it is in a different neighborhood than you claim, and that claim has a reliable source. These are the first edits you've made. Did it occur to you that you may be doing this incorrectly (Because you are)? You don't need to contact Wikipedia support, you need to read the links you've already been provided, then go to the article talk page and start a discussion on it and attempt to gain consensus. To do that you make arguments using reliable sources and Wikipedia policies and guidelines. I'll leave you another link to a place for new editors to ask questions. One more thing: since every single thing in the encyclopedia must come from already published reliable sources, being a local gives you no special privileges regarding this article or any other article regarding San Diego. See WP:V and WP:OWN. John from Idegon (talk) 16:26, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

An easy cross reference of the material would indicate that they are in the same place. Do I have to do your work for you. Another link has just been provided. Perhaps this is why there is so much erroneous information on Wikipedia

  Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Gab4gab (talk) 16:46, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

What you are asking for isn't necessarily available despite your efforts at uniformity. So, what I am saying is that you all should cross reference the multiple sources that I have sent and uploaded and make the proper edit...

But that is not what the policies of this open membership, but private, organization say to do!

Sign your posts please by typing four tildes at the end. John from Idegon (talk) 17:17, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Ted Williams. This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. John from Idegon (talk) 17:38, 23 April 2019 (UTC) Please cease from allowing incorrect information to be referenced from your page. Show me where it says City Heights is the community. https://www.sandiegounified.org/schools/hoover/overview-0 from the school saying the guy was an alumnusReply

  You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Hoover High School (San Diego); that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. John from Idegon (talk) 19:02, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

John from Idegon seems to have no clue what he is talking about nor does he seem to be verifying the information that I am posting..perhaps you should evaluate his credentials for being an editor

Sign your talkpage posts by typing 4 tildes at the end please. It adds your username a link to your talk page and a time stamp. It is required. See WP:TPG. Content is not decided by combat. It's decided by consensus. The person wanting to change the existing sourced content must make arguments based in reliable secondary sources and Wikipedia policies and guidelines to convince those opposing that their desired change is an improvement. You do this on the article's talk page. And you win arguments by demonstrating via reliable secondary sources and arguments drawn from policies and guidelines that your information is an improvement. I'm not going to respond here further. Start a discussion on the article's talk page if you like. If you change the article again without establishing consensus, I'll be asking for a block. Competency is required. The existing content is sourced to a reliable secondary source. Nothing you've proffered is a reliable secondary source. Nothing. It's on you to read WP:RS and vet reliability of sources. It's on you to either know or leave the difference between primary and secondary sources. John from Idegon (talk) 19:21, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

  This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, as you did at User talk:John from Idegon, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. John from Idegon (talk) 19:22, 23 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
