File permission problem with File:Cliff Burton.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Cliff Burton.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. dave pape (talk) 14:46, 10 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

July 2012 edit

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to One Direction. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 06:17, 3 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Paul Phillips (guitarist), you may be blocked from editing. It's pretty clear that you and the IP have some kind of connection, making the same unacceptable edits. Please stop. Drmies (talk) 00:23, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Damien Starkey, you may be blocked from editing. Reinstating unverified BLP trivia and removing valid maintenance tags is disruptive. Drmies (talk) 13:45, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • You just can't keep turning these articles into collections of trivia written from the perspective of a fan without any reliable sources. This is an encyclopedia, and since you are writing about a living person strict rules apply. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 13:50, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Paul Phillips (guitarist), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. GiantSnowman 13:54, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Biographies of living persons noticeboard discussion edit

Hello, Rakanqat. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you.

Re:Help me please edit

Hi, I'm happy to help - what do you need help with? I presume the article on Paul Phillips? GiantSnowman 15:02, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Once I edited a page by mistake and deleted some information, when I put the information back it sends me a message deleting everything I edited, all the information is referenced.

Rakanqat (talk) 18:43, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

You were previously blocked for repeatedly adding unreferenced information - if you continue to do it, you will be blocked again. GiantSnowman 18:46, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Blocked edit

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for breaking the three revert rule and repeatedly adding unreferenced information to a biography of a living person. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

GiantSnowman 18:24, 18 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Paul Phillips (guitarist). This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. GiantSnowman 18:29, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply
As is indicated above, a number of times, the information you're adding in edits such as this is not acceptable--it's not properly verified, not in the right tone, contains unencyclopedic information, etc. That "America's Most Wanted" stuff, for instance, why would you think that that's relevant in an encyclopedic article? Please stop adding it or you will be blocked again, for longer. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 19:19, 30 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

In response to your feedback edit

If you disagree with their revert, you can discuss it on the article's talk page.

License tagging for File:Revocation Self-titled.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Revocation Self-titled.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 13:05, 31 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Rakan Qatarneh edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Rakan Qatarneh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. March 2021 edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article, or a draft for a Wikipedia article, about yourself, at Rakan Qatarneh. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
