The "medals of honor" on display at the Memorial Student Center on the Texas A&M campus are "locally produced replicas." What A&M officially says is that they are "specimen medals." See their Memorial Student Center, their Galleries page and their Memorial page.

Funny how some people are just all fired sure that they are right when in reality they have been lied to for years and are just repeating the lies.

Where are the real ones? My uncle's is in the Corps of Cadets Center at Texas A&M.

Raj, there is a difference between a lie (intentional or negligent) and a mistake (unintentional). I think this is the latter, not the former. as for "locally produced", where did you hear that? — BQZip01 — talk 00:47, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
From "a retired army officer, former student of Texas A&M and a former Commandant of the Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets" with whom I have had the pleasure of emailing for more than nine months. Rajordan 03:47, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
