SEMI-RETIRED
This user is no longer very active on Wikipedia.

Although I am semi-retired from editing, I do still look things up on Wikipedia so I still see messages to this page. RainbowofLight (talk) 18:57, 31 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

I have semi-retired due to the nonsense of the date linking/delinking wars. Wikipedia is fundamentally broken. There will never be consensus (i.e. Wikipedia's definition of consensus, which is apparently that everyone agrees on everything**) on this issue and since Wikipedia is not a democracy where majority can rule, nothing will ever be resolved. Please come back if the dates case ends up in a vaguely sane way. Tony (talk) 04:30, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

the United States, etc edit

It has nothing to do with the ArbCom case and you are free to follow the style guide in this respect. Just don't do too much too fast, or mow through article in a way that appears to be consistent with a single-theme process. I certainly remove links to major anglophone countries, and "English" (language), and "Internet", and "horse", and other dictionary terms, unless in rare cases where they pass the relevance test. You're doing the project a good turn. Tony (talk) 04:47, 15 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pauley Perrette/The Ring edit

OK, my goof. I did make that edit while barely awake. I shouldn't edit while half conscious. I will be more careful. - NeutralHomerTalk • 21:26, 27 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Disam edit

Nice catch! Thank you. Yeah I do several hundred disamms a day. Misclicks happen...that's all that was I think. --User:Woohookitty Diamming fool! 06:43, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yep. :) But my goodness it makes disamming easier. :) One of the best simple tools I've found. --User:Woohookitty Diamming fool! 07:11, 12 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Vandalism issue edit

IP 159.83.4.95 is from County Library of Los Angeles, Lakewood branch. I am not the person who has vandalized a school wikipedia entry but there's no knowing who really did it due to the vandalizer using a public library PC. --159.83.4.95 (talk) 21:10, 20 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion, guidelines for use at WP:MINOR). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and all users will still be able to manually mark their edits as being minor in the usual way.

For well-established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:22, 15 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
