AfD Motorway service stations
You may not have not followed Wikpedia instructions concerning the procedure for AfD for these articles. Edit summaries are not a substitute for article talk pages or deletion debates. Some of these articles have previously been nomiated for deletion and the consensus was 'keep', while others actually have Good Article status. It is possible that if you have correctly notified the creators and major contributors (which you apparently have not), they will overwhelmingly create a consensus for 'keep', which may have unduly burdened the already overloaded work of administrators.--Kudpung (talk) 08:46, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- To add to this, I suggest you also also only nominate articles in line with policy. You haven't followed WP:BEFORE, I strongly suspect you have made no attempt to look for sources, you have just made copy and paste nominations which is highly inappropriate and verging on disruptive. Not to mention notifying the authors of the pages. If you can't nominate properly, I suggest you don't nominate at all. Please also note that a UK service station is not equal to a US rest area. You really should step back from this AFD. 80 edits at one AFD is excessive and it is starting to look like you are harassing everybody that disagrees with you.--Harthacnut (talk) 20:23, 5 September 2009 (UTC)
- Probably true, but due to the past AfD that appears to be hamstrung with faulty logic and basically voted as keep with no assertion of notability, I don't want to see that happen here. I keep pushing for any assertion of notability to justify individual pages but they can't come up with any and are now resorting to personal attacks. I will step back a while and not heavily comment on it though since I do agree with your view. — raeky (talk | edits) 20:28, 5 September 2009 (UTC)

Request for help
Hey! You did great work cleaning up that Hillary Clinton photo (even if her politics is likely drawing odd votes from people). Any chance you could help out on this image? The background just needs a bit of cleaning, but I don't have whatever filters you used in my copy of GIMP (or I don't know what they are). Staxringold talkcontribs 14:28, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
