Creative Mobile Games (Estonia) edit

Hello RadRacer20xx, left you a note over at AlphaMonarch's page, but figured I would leave you a note here as well. I think your refs might be sufficient, for instance,[1] is pretty decent. It's an interview with the founder, which is partly 'independent' and partly WP:ABOUTSELF, but if the company really is in the top 50 of all-time android games... there is almost certainly enough press about the games, the employees, and the company. Finding that press-coverage, is a different matter, obviously. RadRacer20xx please note, however, than English-language *sources* are not required, if you have Estonian/Finnish/German/etc sources about the company (in newspapers/magazines/television/books/similar) then those *also* help a lot to demonstrate wiki-notability. Ping User:Czar, can you take a peek at this? Company is called Creative Mobile Games (videogames of Estonia), not to be confused with Creative Mobile Technologies (taxicabs of New York), has ~100 employees as of 2013 under then-CEO Vladimir Funtikov, specializes in racing-games for android e.g. Drag Racing (video game), not to be confused with IHRA Drag Racing nor with Drag Racer (video game). 75.108.94.227 (talk) 18:17, 7 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, thanks very much for the advice :) I will add in some extra non-english press coverage. The company already appears on this list List of most downloaded Android applications is there a better way to represent this in the article?
Is there any relevance to the WikiProject Estonia ?
Facts and figures I could find:
Their apps have received over 100 million downloads, and in the first half of 2012, the company had revenues of 4.2 million euros, and a profit of 3.4 million euros during that same period.
The company employs 85 people, Financial results for 2013: Turnover – €7.05m, Net profit – €357,279

The contents of List of most downloaded Android applications almost entirely are sourced to play.google.com , for instance, your listing is here.[2] This is a combination of mutually-supporting-WP:ABOUTSELF, where CreativeMobile says it is their game, and Google says it has NNN million downloads, plus WP:CALC on the part of wikipedians, aka seeing that NNN million download is greater than the arbitrary threshold of 100 million. In other words, it's a pretty weakly-supported factoid, because there's no actual WP:SOURCE, instead it's cobbled together from WP:PRIMARY materials.
Much better would be a tech magazine like wired.com or a videogame review like kotaku.com or some kind of general-readership-newspaper (English or other language -- doesn't matter -- offline or online -- again doesn't matter), which mentioned the number of downloads as of a certain date. Sure, probably *they* will also just be parroting what the google website said, but that's still an improvement, because an independent journalist NOTICED the factoid, making it WP:NOTEWORTHY by wikipedia standards. Does that make sense? Google is not financially independent of CreativeMobile, because the DragRacing game on the googlePlayStore is beneficial to Google's hardware-sales. So it's better to find a fully-independent source, whenever possible.
Same goes for the other factoids you mentioned, about 2012 revenues/profits, employee count, 2013 changes. Being true and accurate is not enough... those numbers must have been noted and published by some independent third party, in a newspaper/magazine/tvNewscast/radioTalkshow/book/governmentAgency/academiaPaper/etc. Ideally more than one, across the years. Make sense? That is what WP:42 is all about, digging up WP:SOURCES to back up the facts and WP:PROVEIT. p.s. Yes, besides the wiki-project-videogame folks, your company will also be of interest to wiki-project-estonia. 75.108.94.227 (talk) 12:00, 10 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi 75.108.94.227, I've added in extra of Estonian and Russian language news articles which cover the company's financials, the most recent is from last year. There's a few more, as for factoid about the 100 million download, most articles I have cited only quote the company. This 2014 link is independant and backs up the claim, is it cite worthy? http://catchmyapp.com/top-30-most-downloaded-android-applications/

RadRacer20xx, sorry but I'm starting to get swamped. There are still some problems with your sourcing, but it will take time to explain the vagaries of wiki-reliability, and I'm running short this month. My recommendation is that you submit the article for review again, in the AfC queue, and also that you make use of the #wikipedia-en-help connect live-help-chat volunteers. That runs in a separate tab in your browser, and usually is a good way to get questions answered reasonably quickly, about sourcing and editing-problems and the meaning of wiki-notability. Take a peek at WP:SOURCES and give a skim to WP:RS which covers the gory details about what makes newspapers/magazines/books/teevee/etc into wiki-reliable sources, those will probably help, and then with a bit of assistance from the fine folks on the live-help-channel, you will keep making progress. If you have quick questions, you are free to leave a note on my talkpage any time, good luck, 75.108.94.227 (talk) 03:03, 18 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

File:The X-Files Deep State Hidden Object Scene.png edit

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 29 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
