I think this is a nice start to your contribution to the article. Your rough draft has a neutral tone and enhances the article's overall content. I think you could further consider the ethical implications surrounding this topic. There were a few grammatical issues that I have noted below:

These harmful images (are) not only seen by the Black community, but by everyone who has access to a media outlet.] (Here I would add a little more about the implications of the black community and whole population having access to these harmful images. What are the effects of these images? How are they unethical? Etc.) To gain feedback on his idea he got on Tumblr and through those interactions he met Marissa Sebastian, who came up with the name behind the movement and later on became the PR and CEO of the movement, and Tumblr user V. Matthew-King Yarde (known as Nukrik on social media) the creator behind the various logos for the event.

Again, I think you are on the right track! Just adding a few more sentences about the effects of these images and the ethical considerations associated would make you edit more thorough. Good job!

Hi Rachelle -- I agree with Mitchell's specific comments above, and with the general sentiment that this is a nice start! However, it needs more work -- I know you have done some research and have several sources to draw from. Your contribution will be to really explain the background of this issue more fully than is already done in the article -- how exactly are "black people depicted in a negative light" and how is this harmful (backed up by citations)? Why is representation of regular people (over celebrities, as in his quote) important? What are some of the stated motivations by others using the hashtag?
