Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, RabidTuberculosis. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Brooke Owens Fellowship, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Marquardtika (talk) 02:50, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, Marquarditka. I am not affiliated with the Brooke Owens Fellowship, involved with its operations, or advertising/promoting anything. I do not possess external relationships with those named in the article, nor am I receiving compensation. Please let me know if you have any questions. RabidTuberculosis (talk) 05:11, 7 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
RabidTuberculosis, can I please ask the same question about Zed Factor Fellowship, do you have any connection? Perhaps better, if you could respond to the question of whether you have a conflict of interest with any of the articles you have edited (and if so disclose them). Thanks! Melcous (talk) 03:43, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi @Melcous. I am an engineer in the aerospace industry, where fellowship programs are becoming increasingly notable. Many of the major ones did not exist on Wikipedia, so I made articles for them using publicly available information. I am not affiliated with the programs or involved in their operations, etc. Please reach out if you have further questions. RabidTuberculosis (talk) 03:50, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your response and explanation. That is fine - editors with expertise are always welcome! Please do make sure you disclose any conflicts, or if you are considering creating an article where you may be seen to have a conflict of interest, use the WP:AFC process to submit it for review first. Thanks Melcous (talk) 03:52, 11 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Scope creep. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Matthew Isakowitz Fellowship have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links.
