Sailing

edit

R, Thanks for your note. It's great to see strong interest in sailing at WP. I started some articles years ago, but ran into the zealous deletionists cabal of the time. Soon I got really involved in restructurung and redefining the notability rules and was somewhat successful in curbing some of the abuses at the deletion debates, but never really got back to my primary mission. I'm pretty busy in the real world for the next couple of years; I'm Vice Commodore of the Berkeley Yacht Club with one more year to serve as an officer and on the Board. When I'm through with the leadership ladder I hope to spend more time back at WP. But if you ever need a hand saving a valuable article, please give me a shout at: kevinmurray@sbcglobal.net And if you get to the SF Bay Area, give me a shout and we'll go sailing. Speedy deletion nomination of Oyster Marine

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Oyster Marine, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be unambiguous advertising that only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of Oyster Marine and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from independent reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. CosmicJake (talk) 20:36, 31 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:41, 6 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
