Hello, I'm Sundayclose. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, List of youngest killers, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Sundayclose (talk) 23:56, 11 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Doggy54321. I noticed that you recently removed content from Super Bowl LV halftime show without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.   Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Surfin' U.S.A.. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. Please stop removing "broken" WP:REDLINKS. They are not broken. They are, for the most part, intentional and useful. They indicate links to topics that could become new articles. Red links encourage people to click on the link and create those new articles. Plus, once the articles are created, they'll have incoming links right away. On the off chance that the link is to something that could never become an article (see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability) they can be removed.

Please go through your recent contributions and return the red links. For every link you still want to remove, take a pause and ask if it is truly one of those topics described above. – Finnusertop (talkcontribs) 10:23, 20 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:2021 neologisms

edit

A tag has been placed on Category:2021 neologisms requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Liz Read! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Will Jordan, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Funny Farm. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:16, 3 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

I reverted your removal of File:Clip_breeding-foaling-A_Celebration_of_Horses.webmhd.webm a legitimate FU tag that belongs on that video clip. See the following AfD discussion Wikipedia:Files_for_discussion/2016_September_9#File:Clip_breeding-foaling-A_Celebration_of_Horses.webmhd.webm. If you haven't already, please read the TP as this issue was heavily discussed. Also see this discussion which determined what tag was to be added. Atsme 💬 📧 15:39, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to C.R.E.A.M., without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 13:38, 15 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

MfD nomination of User:Pepso2

edit

User:Pepso2, a page which you created or substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; you may participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Pepso2 and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:Pepso2 during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. As noted in the template below the image on the file page, "In most cases, this reduction will occur automatically: simply wait a while and a bot will resize the image file according to the guideline at WP:IMAGERES. Where an automatic reduction does not occur or if a manual reduction is desired, the size of an image may be reduced in an image editing program or by saving and re-uploading a suitably sized thumbnail." There is no need to revert back, a bot will soon take care of the image size. Thank you, though. Magitroopa (talk) 20:44, 21 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Irony

edit

I'm sorry but I saw what you did to the Atlantic Records page and I just find it kind of ironic how you meant to add an invisible note telling people to not blank the page and write "YOU SUCK!" because of White and Nerdy and you accidentally managed to blank the page yourself. But I do think that's a good idea to add the note. We just have to figure out how to not get it to blank the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Latarian Milton

edit

Hello, Rheathesecond,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123 and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Latarian Milton, for deletion, because a consensus decision previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Brittany Ashton Holmes

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Brittany Ashton Holmes requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brittany Ashton Holmes. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ... discospinster talk 16:32, 9 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Oh, harder daddy

edit

Please do not create hoaxes on Wikipedia, as you did at Oh, harder daddy. Doing so is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

Proposed deletion of Makaveli (disambiguation)

edit

Hello, Rheathesecond

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username John B123, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Makaveli (disambiguation), for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to contest the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|John B123}}. And remember to sign your reply with ~~~~. Thanks!

Hi there. Please remember to add sources to every addition you make. If you need sourcing for the 8 Mile soundtrack an easy one would be AllMusic, or you could see if any of the other review sources on the soundtrack's page includes the info. Just remember to cite properly. Thank you. – zmbro (talk) 17:57, 17 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:James Brown - Funky Drummer.ogg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:James Brown - Funky Drummer.ogg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:18, 6 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Invitation to take part in a survey about medical topics on Wikipedia

edit

Dear fellow editor,

I am Piotr Konieczny, a sociologist of new media at Hanyang University (and User:Piotrus on Wikipedia). I would like to better understand Wikipedia's volunteers who edit medical topics, many associated with the WikiProject Medicine, and known to create some of the highest quality content on Wikipedia. I hope that the lessons I can learn from you that I will present to the academic audience will benefit both the WikiProject Medicine (improving your understanding of yourself and helping to promote it and attract new volunteers) and the wider world of medical volunteering and academia. Open access copy of the resulting research will be made available at WikiProject's Medicine upon the completion of the project.

All questions are optional. The survey is divided into 4 parts: 1 - Brief description of yourself; 2 - Questions about your volunteering; 3 - Questions about WikiProject Medicine and 4 - Questions about Wikipedia's coverage of medical topics.

Please note that by filling out this questionnaire, you consent to participate in this research. The survey is anonymous and all personal details relevant to your experience will be kept private and will not be transferred to any third party.

I appreciate your support of this research and thank you in advance for taking the time to participate and share your experiences! If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at my Wikipedia user page or through my email listed on the survey page (or by Wikipedia email this user function).

The survey is accessible through the LINK HERE.
