Roet moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Roet, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. Currently, both sources don't really go into detail about the name, and neither supports the article's current assertions. They simply verify that some people have this last name.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Dutch-Jewish

edit

Could you stop changing the nationality? Dutch is a nationality, Dutch Jewish is not. You are inserting incorrect information. The Banner talk 19:32, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Its correct, it has nothing to do with religion or nationality, because Dutch people and the Jews are not the same. The Jews descent from the Israelites and the Dutch from the Germanic people. It means were the people come from. And if click on it, you get the history of the Dutch Jews. Take Ben McKenzie for example he is part jewish through his grandfather. But were does his grandfather came from? Schenkkan is a Dutch-Jewish last name. In 1811 Napoleon who ruled the Netherlands forced everyone in the Netherlands to take a last name. This meant also for the jews. A lot of forget what the Dutch jews did for there country and still got treated shit. Its not my intention to be antisemetic or something. Im just trying to add some information at Wikipedia. RLCRoet (talk) 21:28, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Can you point out anyone who has the Jewish nationality? Not even in Israel do people have the Jewish nationality. Being a Jew is faith related, not a nationality. The Banner talk 22:08, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thats what im trying to say it has nothing to do with nationality. I only made wikipedia page so folks in the Netherlands could look up the history of the jews in the Netherlands. Its nothing special Jews come in every form and sizes. Black jews from Ethiopia, Nigeria and India. Chinese Kaifeng jews. RLCRoet (talk) 22:38, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

That is why Wikipedia invented the "See also"-option. The Banner talk 08:40, 19 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Je hebt groot gelijk mijn excuses. RLCRoet (talk) 22:51, 18 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm InfiniteNexus. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Tom Holkenborg, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! InfiniteNexus (talk) 00:32, 23 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
