Managing a conflict of interest edit

Hello, RK777713. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Ryan Kavanaugh, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. ––FormalDude talk 22:39, 28 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

September 2021 edit

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for making legal threats or taking legal action.
You are not allowed to edit Wikipedia while the threats stand or the legal action is unresolved.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.
You may well have some valid concerns about past edits to Ryan Kavanaugh and that article is currently semi-protected so that these issues can be worked out. I noticed that in your first edit, you claimed to be Ryan Kavanaugh. We have no proof either way but one thing is for sure. Wikipedia policy forbids any editor who threatens to sue another Wikipedia editor from editing as long as that threat stands. You have every right to pursue legal action in the courts against anyone. But you will not be permitted to edit Wikipedia as long as your legal threats stand. If you want to have any input into this Wikipedia article, then you must unambiguously retract all threats of legal action. I also note that you were harshly critical of an editor who was actually trying to help you, although you later withdrew those accusations. You need to be cautious and careful when dealing with other Wikipedia editors. Misplaced indignation is counterproductive. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 01:06, 4 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I can prove I am he if needed. I am not threatening anyone I have filed an action for defamation against ethan Klein and his podcast h3. Here is an article I wrote for CSQ explaining it https://csq.com/2021/11/c-suite-contributor-ryan-kavanaugh-the-dark-side-of-the-power-of-social-media/#.Yam_9iQ74WM

I was making people aware we have direct correlation to a number of the editors making changes, like throast, to the very person I am in this legal action with and yet he is being allowed to defame and descrate me. They are removing anything positive but using the same sources to add negative and all one needs to do is to look at the h3 reddit where they are bragging about destroying my wiki and the dates line up the moment ethan Klein and h3 started their slander campaogn my page, which remained constant for years, all of a sudden was totally descrated with exactly what ethan Klein was saying on his podcast and the editors making the changes also positively editing h3.

I was pointing out the existence of the action and that it does reference his paying editors to descrate my page. I was not intending to threaten anyone. RK777713 (talk) 07:02, 3 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Block message:

Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "RK777713". The reason given for RK777713's block is: "Making legal threats".

Decline reason: You are not autoblocked, you are blocked directly. You state above that you are in active litigation regarding the article you were discussing; that litigation must be concluded, as well as all legal threats clearly withdrawn, before you can be unblocked. 331dot (talk) 07:05, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

As a matter of policy, you cannot be unblocked unless you unambiguously and unconditionally withdraw all legal threats. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 05:58, 20 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

If I was perceived to.have made a legal threat it wasn't intentional. I intended only on pointing out that certain of the editors were being paid by the party I have a litigation against and that their destruction of my wiki and creation of a false narrative and intent to harm was part of ethan Klein and h3s attack, not done as a good faith editor. For example they reference one negative line from a vanity fair article using as a "reliable source" but remove almost everything positive which came from the very same article stating it was out of date. I am not familiar with rules regulations or the culture on wiki. Once I saw that what had been mostly untouched for years, and accurately reflected my career and life with credible sourcing, with what ethan Klein was falsely spreading I opened my first wiki account and attempted to merely revert it. In August, you posted on the relevant user's page

No matter since H3 has been sued and that is what prompted this attack by them JK.Kite is being added to the suit and will be held responsible for causing intentional harm, painting a knowingly false light, libel and interference in contractual relations.

Later in the same day, you said

This party is part of an paid campaign to harm people on wiki. The suit will take some time but within a few weeks we will publish a copy which will name them and show their malicious and wholly misleading information.

I fail to see how this is not an intentional legal threat, it clearly seems like the intention of this was to threaten action. Additionally, I don't think it is particularly surprising that the page may receive more updates than in previous years as person in the article is part of an on-going event, which typically increases edits.
