Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages, as you did to User:RGenuario/new article name here. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" is against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Because it does nothing but promote an organisation, this page will soon be deleted. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:58, 12 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Family Centers edit

A tag has been placed on Family Centers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hey RGenuario, I see you have requested permission to reuse copyrighted text in the article and I am sure somebody will sort it out shortly and remove the speedy deletion tag. Unfortunately I am afraid that will not be the end of the story as there are some other problems with the article, which could lead to its deletion.

  1. The article is highly promotional. Even though you stated on the talkpage it was intended as a encyclopedic article the "Programs and Services" section fails wikipedias policy of maintaining a neutral point of view. To be honest I think the entire section should be removed, as it has no encyclopedic value as far as I can see. Please also have a look at WP:ADVERTISING in relation to this.
  2. In order for a organisation or company to have a separate wikipedia article it must meet the relevant notability guidelines. In order to do so Family Centers must have been the subject of significant coverage in secondary sources. Such sources must be reliable, and independent of the subject. A single independent source is almost never sufficient for demonstrating the notability of an organization. I had a quick search, but could not find anything.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask them on my talkpage or here. Yoenit (talk) 16:50, 16 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of User:RGenuario edit

A tag has been placed on User:RGenuario, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
