Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Tony Giorgio, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0320413/bio.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Speedy deletion nomination of Tony Giorgio

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tony Giorgio requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. - MrX 02:13, 5 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm AutomaticStrikeout. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Barack Obama, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please do not change the information without providing plenty of evidence. AutomaticStrikeout 04:32, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons, as you did to Barack Obama. Thank you. Please stop messing around on that article, or you'll find yourself blocked. Drmies (talk) 04:33, 26 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add defamatory content, as you did at David Petraeus, you may be blocked from editing. Go Phightins! 02:45, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pizza Planet Truck

edit

I saw that you tried adding a bullet point in the List of Pixar film references article about the Pizza Planet Truck being in The Incredibles. There is a sentence in the introductory paragraph for that section ("Pizza Planet") that says "There is a Pizza Planet reference in every Pixar feature film to date except for the film The Incredibles. Lee Unkrich has said that there is no Pizza Planet truck anywhere in The Incredibles." And then it points to this link. Lee Unkrich said "It's true. The Incredibles is the only Pixar film that does not have the Pizza Planet truck." Additionally, please see my video here. Feel free to ask me any questions; I'd be happy to set you straight. dogman15 (talk) 08:32, 15 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

Fair use image

edit

At James Eagan Holmes, I'm sure you did see the note (which you removed) that directs editors not to insert the fair use image you inserted. Acroterion (talk) 03:04, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I am curious why the picture (which is properly cited and qualified to be used) cannot be used. (REfreakk5555 (talk) 03:07, 10 April 2013 (UTC))Reply

The fair use rationale is written solely for 2012 Aurora shooting, and since he is a living individual, in principle a free image may become available for his bio. The fair use rationale discusses his appearance immediately after the shooting, which the image depicts. Acroterion (talk) 11:36, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Would an image of him in a court hearing suffice? I just think if someone is curious about the shooting, they would like to know what the perpetrator looks like (REfreakk5555 (talk) 20:47, 10 April 2013 (UTC))Reply

Any image that you did not personally take, or was not explicitly released into the public domain or under a CC-by-SA copyleft, would have to use a fair-use rationale. By "public domain," I mean publicly released with the renunciation of all rights to the image, which hasn't happened (an is very unlikely to happen) for any image of Holmes. Floating around on the Internet is not public domain. Obviously, fair use can be done, but there are no images of Holmes that are freely usable. Acroterion (talk) 21:30, 10 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

This is your last warning. The next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at George Washington, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Evanh2008 (talk|contribs) 04:16, 3 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did at Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, you may be blocked from editing. Thank you. Shearonink (talk) 02:54, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for persistent disruptive editing. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Rschen7754 03:48, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
Hi, I have unfortunately had to block your for disruptive editing, indefinitely. Looking at your talk page I see many instances where you have been warned repeatedly about your edits, and you have not attempted to resolve these issues with the way that you edit. It is clear that at this time, you do not understand our content policies enough to contribute effectively to the English Wikipedia. I would be willing to consider an unblock if you can demonstrate a clear understanding of where you went wrong, and present a plan of how to change your editing habits, but for now this block is in place to protect this site from further disruption. --Rschen7754 03:52, 30 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
