January 2019 edit

Hello, I'm Julietdeltalima. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Please read WP:NPOV and WP:PUFFERY. Wikipedia does not describe facilities as "the premier xx facility in xx"; this is the wrong platform for this kind of promotional puffery. Julietdeltalima (talk) 18:37, 30 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

I work for the RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg and haven't logged on for many years. Just noticed we have been blocked from editing. Not sure why. I'm just wanting to update information on our building. Nothing advertising related. Please help. Thank you. RBC Convention Centre Winnipeg (talk) 16:36, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
The above notice explains it clearly. You have a username policy violation. You are using this account for advertisement, which is contrary to the goals and rules of Wikipedia. For example you wrote the line "The RBC Convention Centre is the premier convention facility in Manitoba". That is blatant promotion. On top of that, you admit you are a paid actor, but have not declared so, which is mandatory. -- Alexf(talk) 20:16, 20 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
