Sreeleela

edit

Hello @RAPO23, I have twice reverted you today for adding an image to the Sreeleela page that was improperly uploaded, meaning it didn't have the required permissions. I can see that someone else has already made that point to you previously, and yet you seem to have disregarded that. Your actions can be construed as disruptive, and if you persist in ignoring Wikipedia guidelines in your attempt to make changes as you see fit, your account may be blocked.   You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 13:02, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Revirvlkodlaku (talk) 13:26, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Kriti Sanon. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 17:35, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Sainikudu, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 14:01, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Adipurush. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. GoneIn60 (talk) 20:18, 27 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Samantha in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Samantha in Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://twitter.com/SamanthaPrabuFC/status/1518584949578027008. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — DaxServer (t · m · e · c) 17:36, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Hello RAPO23! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 19:03, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

And to be clear, you've already been told not to upload non-free images of living people previously, so any more improperly licensed uploads will result in you being blocked. If you don't understand licensing and policy for images, you can ask questions at Media Copyright Questions, or at the Tea Houose where you can get more general assistance as a new editor. -- Whpq (talk) 19:05, 16 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Adipurush edit

edit

I understand you are contributing in good faith but it seems you don't have any experience in this area. Don't edit the overall critical response. Just leave things as they are. Otherwise, you maybe blockedd from participating in the editing process. If it was a mistake then worry not!:) Erenyeager008 (talk) 09:48, 17 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Project_K_first_look.jpg

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on File:Project_K_first_look.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.

— Ирука13 16:21, 19 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Copyrighted images

edit

You cannot claim to be the copyright holder of other people's work as you did with File:Project_K_first_look.jpg. You have been previously warned about uploading copyrighted images. Please read and understand Wikipedia's image use policy and copyright policy. If you have questions, you can post them at Media Copyright Questions. If you continue with these copyright violations, you will be blocked. -- Whpq (talk) 01:08, 20 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry

edit
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/RAPO23. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
